On Wednesday, 24 August 2022, a ceremony was held at Camp “LOHAGOU (PZ) VOGDOU MIHAIL”in Toxotes, Xanthi, for the induction of 24 Engineer Machinery to the Hellenic Army, which were acquired with funding from the 2014-2022 NSRF Programme (valued at €6,414,217) of the Region of East Macedonia and Thrace.

The ceremony was attended by the Head of the Region of East Macedonia and Thrace, Mr. Christos Metios, the Metropolitan of Xanthi and Peritheori, Mr. Panteleimon, the Commanding General of the Hellenic First Army/EU OHQ “ACHILLEAS”, Lieutenant General Angelos Houdeloudis, the Commanding General of D Army Corps “THRAKI”, Lieutenant General Ioannis Tsioplos, the Deputy Head of Region for Rodopi, Mr. Nikolaos Tsalikidis, the Deputy Head of Region for Evros, Mr. Dimitrios Petrovits, and the Deputy Mayor of Xanthi, Mr. Panagiotis Amvrosiadis.
