On Friday, 08 February 2019, the Higher Military Command of Interior and Islands “AEGEAS” Change of Command Ceremony took place in Vyronas, Attica, with Lieutenant General Georgios Dimitropoulos assuming command from Lieutenant General Nikolaos Manolakos, in the presence of the Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Georgios Kambas.
The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Chiefs of General Staff, representatives of the local civilian, political, and religious authorities, representatives of foreign Chiefs of Defence, Honorary Chiefs of Hellenic Army General Staff and Commanding Generals of the Higher Military Command of Interior and Islands, active duty and retired Senior and General Officers of the Armed and Security Forces, representatives of the Unions of Retired Officers, and other guests.
