On Tuesday 21 January 2025, in the presence of the Deputy Minister of National Defence Mr Giannis Kefalogiannis, escorted by the Chief/Hellenic National Defence General Staff, General Dimitrios Choupis, and the Chief/Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis, the Higher Army Support Military Command “THESEUS” Change of Command Ceremony took place at “ZORBA” Camp, with Lieutenant General Dimitrios Vakentis assuming command from Lieutenant General Dimitrios Bolomytis.

The ceremony was honoured by the presence of the Athens A’ Costituency MP Mr Angelos Syrigos, MP for Imathia Mr Apostolos Vesyropoulos, His Eminence the Metropolitan of Kaisariani, Vyronas, and Ymittos Mr Daniil, former Minister of Citizen Protection and Honorary Chief/HAGS, General Charalampos Lalousis (ret.), Honorary Chief/National Guard General Staff, General Dimokritos Zervakis (ret.), members of the Supreme Military Council, the Deputy Chief/HNGS Rear Admiral Spyridon Lagaras HN, as representative of Chief/HNGS Vice Admiral Dimitrios Eleftherios Kataras HN, the Chief of Staff of the Hellenic Air Force Support Command, Major General Dimitrios Fanaras, as representative of Chief/HAFGS, Lieutenant General Dimosthenis Grigoriadis, representatives of Chiefs of the Hellenic Police, the Hellenic Coast Guard, and the Fire Service, active and retired officers and other guests.
