On Friday 28 January 2022, the graduation ceremony for 16 Officers of the 74th Training Series form the Engineer Officers Technical School was held at “PAPAGOS” camp.
The degrees were awarded to graduates by the Chief of the Hellenic Army General Staff Lieutenant General Charalampos Lalousis, who after congratulating them, referred to the importance of the Engineering Arm in the contemporary operational environment and its multidimensional social contribution, as reflected inter alia in its contribution to addressing the consequences of natural disasters, opening routes, constructing bridges and locating & disposing explosive mechanisms and ammunition throughout the territory.
Moreover, the Chief praised the work that the School is doing, which is celebrating 96 years of operation and offering, providing higher scientific and technical training to its graduates.
Finally, the Chief expressed his thanks to the Vice-Rector of the National Technical University of Athens and professor at the Engineer Officers Technical School, Mr. Evangelos Sapountzakis, to the entire educational staff for the work they are doing at the School and stressed the excellent level of cooperation between these two scientific institutions.
