On Thursday, 15 May 2025, an event was held at the Hellenic Military Academy in Vari, Attica, on the subject “Alexander the Great Through History”.

Mr. Robin Lane Fox, Professor of Ancient History of Oxford University, delivered the keynote address of the event.

Lectures were also given by the Professor of Ancient History of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Ms. Selini Psoma, the Associate Professor of the Hellenic Military Academy Mr. Dimitrios Panomitros, the Assistant Professor of the University of Crete Ms. Katerina Panagopoulou, the Assistant Professors of the Hellenic Military Academy Ms. Sylvia Kantounta, Ms. Varvara Spinoula, and Ms. Christina – Panagiota Manolea, the Professor Emeritus of the Hellenic Military Academy Mr. Andreas Kastanis, the Commandant of the Hellenic Miitary Academy, Major General Anastasios Polychronos, and teacher Mr. Athanasios Lerounis.

The event was also attended by Father Christoforos Makris, as representative of His Eminence, the Metropolitan of Glyfada, Elliniko, Voula, Vouliagmeni, and Vari, Mr. Antonios, the General Manager at John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation, Ms. Eva Lianou, and the President of the Supreme Panhellenic Federation of Reserve Officers, Dr. Filippos Kostaras.
