On Tuesday, 1 November 2022, a day event was held at the “VERGINA” Conference Centre of the Larissa Officers’ Club on the subject “National Day for Organ Donation and Transplantation”. The event was co-organised by the Hellenic First Army/EU OHQ “ACHILLEAS”, the Hellenic Tactical Air Force Headquarters, the University General Hospital of Larissa, and the 404th Army General Hospital of Larissa.
The event was attended by the Commanding General of the Hellenic First Army/EU OHQ “ACHILLEAS”, Lieutenant General Angelos Houdeloudis, who also gave an address, the Chief of Hellenic Tactical Air Force, Lieutenant General (HAF) Georgios Fasoulas, representatives of the local government, as well as Armed and Security Forces officers.
Lectures were given by the Metropolitan of Larissa and Tyrnavos, Mr. Ieronymos, the President of the Local Transplantation Coordination Team and Director of the Special Treatment Unit of the University General Hospital of Larissa, Dr. Epaminondas Zakynthinos, the Local Transplantation Coordinator for Thessaly, Ms. Soultana Stravela, the Judge of the Court-Martial – Air Force Court-Martial of Larissa, Lieutenant Colonel Stavroula Georgakopoulou, Air Force Major (MD) Panaghiotis Karakitsios, and heart transplant recipients.
