On Wednesday, 20 January 2020, the traditional Vasilopita of the Hellenic Army General Staff for the New Year was cut by the Chief HAGS, Lieutenant General Charalampos Lalousis.
The ceremony was attended by the Minister of National Defence, Mr. Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos, the Deputy Minister of National Defence, Mr. Alkiviadis Stefanis, and the General Secretary of the Ministry of National Defence, Mr. Antonis Ikonomou.
The event took place following all required protection measures to prevent the transmission of the novel coronavirus.
