On Saturday, 02 June 2018, in the context of extroversion and innovation of the Army, the 691st Base Industrial Plant (691 BIP), in cooperation with the Technology and Research Institution (TRI), participated in the Environmental Sensitivity Contest “ECOPOLIS 2018”.  The 691 BIP and the TRI received the 1st Prize for the project “Sanitation of Interior Spaces by Use of Innovative Coating”.

The ECOCITY is a Voluntary Organisation on Urban and Suburban Environment. It organizes the Environmental Sensitivity “ECOPOLIS” prizes, since 2005. The aim of these prizes is to recognize and reward the environmental sensitivity and contribution of Scientists, Organisations, Local Administration Agencies, Enterprises and Mass Media.

The contest was conducted in the context of the Scientific Works – Organisations – Environmental Project category, and was organised by ECOCITY at the “Georgios Eliopoulos” Conference Centre of the Municipality of Milos Island. Prizes were awarded in 28 different categories.
