On Sunday 6 April 2025, The Chief of the Hellenic Army General Staff Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis, accompanied by the Commanding General of the C Army Corps/NRDC-GR “MEGAS ALEXANDROS” Lieutenant General Athanassios Garinis, attended the Commemoration event for the 81 years since the Holocaust of Kleisoura.

The event included the celebration of Mass at the Church of St. Dimitrios, a memorial service and wreath laying.

The event was also attended by the MP Ms. Maria Antoniou, the Mayor of Kastoria Mr. Giannis Korentsidis, the Metropolitan of Kastoria Kallinikos, the Consul General of Germany to Thessaloniki Ms. Monika Frank, representatives of the local self-government and religious authorities, in service and retired officers of the Armed Forces and the Security Forces, and other guests.
