On 11-12 June 2019, the Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff Lieutenant General Georgios Kampas paid an official visit to Serbia, invited by the Commander of the Serbian Army, Lieutenant General Milosav Simovic.
The Chief of HAGS visited the “JUG” Base where he was briefed on the activities and infrastructure of the Multinational Operations Training Centre. He also observed a demonstration by troops participating in the Multinational Peace Support Operation Exercise “PLATINUM WOLF 19”.
They discussed topics of mutual interest regarding the fields of cooperation between the armies of Greece and Serbia, such as training and participation in exercises.
During the visit, the Chief was accompanied by Greece’s Defence Attaché to Serbia.
