On Thursday 27 June 2019, the Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Georgios Kampas, visited the “LT.GEN. VASSILIOS KAPOTAS” Camp.
During his visit, he observed a demonstration of the capabilites of the Land Minefield Clearance Battalion, of the high technology materiel it possesses, as well as of the new materiel it has developed and manufactured.
Afterwards, he visited the other Units of the Camp and he expressed his satisfaction from their work: 725th Engineer Battalion for its contribution to social assistance in cases of disaster relief, 305th Technical Corps District Workshop for its reparation works, 784th
Transportation Battalion for its transportation work, Materiel and Ammunitions Battalion of the Base Support Command for effectively fulfilling their mission of materiel replenishment.
Finally, he visited the 791st Supply Battalion where he confirmed the capacity of bread-making and hard tack production, as well as the scientific work of the food chemistry laboratory.
