On Monday 30 March 2026, the Chief/HAGS, Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis, accompanied by the Commanding General of the Supreme Military Command of Thrace “THRACE” Lieutenant General Panagiotis Kavidopoulos, visited the Supreme Military Command of Thrace Area of Responsibility.
During his visit, the Chief visited “RESERVE LT. (INF) ANASTASIOY PAPANASTASIOY” Army Camp in Orestiada, where he gave guidelines to the Commanders of the Formations and Units – Independent Subunits of the XVI Mechanised Infantry Division “DIDYMOTEICHON”, as well as to the Units of XXI Armoured Division “PINDOS”, and was briefed concerning the mission, operational and training activities of the Formations.
Subsequently, the Chief visited the “MAJOR GENERAL NIKOLAOS DELAGRAMMATIKAS” Army Camp in Provatonas, where he gave guidelines to the Commanders of the Units – Independent Subunits of the XX Armoured Division “MACEDONIA”, the XII Mechanised Infantry Division “EVROS”, as well as the 29th Motorised Infantry Brigade “POGRADETS”, and was briefed concerning the mission, operational and training activities of the Formations.
