From 19 to 20 August 2024, the Chief of the Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis visited the Area of Responsibility of the 80th Higher National Guard Battalions Command “KOS”, accompanied by the Commanding General of the Higher Military Command of Interior and Islands “AEGEAS”, Lieutenant General Emmanouil Theodorou”.

During his visit, the Chief was briefed on the Formation’s actions and mission; he visited Units, military facilities and the Surveillance Outposts “KALOLIMNOS”, “SKANDARI”, and the Outpost “SKOURNOU”.

The Chief gave a short address, provided guidelines to the Formation personnel, and congratulated them for their work.
