On Sunday, 02 September 2018, the Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Alkiviadis Stefanis, attended, representing the Chief of Hellenic National Defence General Staff, the International Conference organised in Sparta by the Municipality of Sparta, the international organisation B’nai B’rith, and the Greek – Israeli Cooperation Institute on the subject “Sparta-Israel Conference – Renewing an Ancient Friendship”.
The aim of the conference was to deepen the understanding and cooperation between the Greeks and the Israelis as a continuation of the historically documented friendship between Ancient Sparta and the People of Israel.
