On Wednesday, 14 May 2025, in the presence of the Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, the Minister of National Defence Mr Nikolaos Dendias and the Chief of the Hellenic Army General Staff Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis, as representative of the Chief of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff General Dimitrios Choupis, at the premises of the Higher Military Command of Interior and Islands “AIGEAS”, in “SAKETAS B” Camp, the integration ceremony for two V-BAT Unmanned Aerial Vehicles took place. The V-BAT UAVs are a donation by the Founder of the “Athanasios C. Laskaridis” Charitable Foundation.

After the V-BAT UAVs presentation, speeches were given by the Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, the Minister of National Defence Mr Nikolaos Dendias and the benefactor Mr Athanasios Laskaridis, who was awarded after the end of the ceremony.

The ceremony was honoured by the presence of the Secretary General of National Security of the Cabinet Mr Thanos Ntokos, the Chief of the Hellenic Navy General Staff Vice Admiral HN Dimitrios-Eleftherios Kataras, the Chief of the Hellenic Air Force General Staff Lieutenant General (Pilot) Dimosthenis Grigoriadis, the Chief of the Hellenic Port Authority – Coastguard Vice Admiral Tryfon Kontizas, the Commander of the Higher Military Command of Interior and Islands Lieutenant General Emmanouil Theodorou, the Commander of the Higher Army Support Military Command “THISEAS” Lieutenant General Dimitrios Vakentis, the Commander of the Special Warfare Command Lieutenant General Georgios Manouras, the Hellenic Police Inspector General for Southern Greece Lieutenant General Panagiotis Poupouzas as representative of the Chief of the Hellenic Police Lieutenant General Dimitrios Mallios, the Deputy Chief of the Hellenic Fire Corps Lieutenant General Georgios Markoulakis as representative of the Chief of the Hellenic Fire Corps and other guests.
