On Monday 10 May 2021, the celebration of the feast of Saint George, patron saint of the Army, was held at the Infantry School, in Chalkida.
The celebration, due to the protection measures taken to combat the COVID-19 pandemic, was attended by a limited number of guests among whom were the Deputy minister of National Defence Mr. Alkiviadis Stefanis, the Chief of HNDGS General Konstantinos Floros and the Chief of HAGS Lieutenant General Charalambos Laloussis.
The service which was celebrated by His Eminence the Metropolitan bishop of Chalkida, Istiaia and Northern Sporades Chrysostomos, was also attended by the Chief of HAFGS Lieutenant General Georgios Blioumis and the Chief of HNGS Vice Admiral Stylianos Petrakis.
