On Saturday 20 July 2024, the celebration ceremony of the Patron Saint of Army Aviation, Prophet Elias of Thesbite, as well as of the “Army Aviation Memorial and Honour Day” took place in Camp “MAKEDONOMAHOU PROIOU DIMITRIOU” in Alexandria, Imathia.
The ceremony was attended by MP’s of the Hellenic Parliament, the Director of Hellenic Army General Staff Army Aviation Directorate, Major General Ioannis Himarios, as representative of the Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis, representatives of Local Government, active duty and retired Officers, and other guests.
After the ceremony, a demonstration of the assets of Army Aviation took place.
