On Thursday 20 July 2023, the celebration for Prophet Elias the Thesvite, Patron of Army Aviation, as well as the “Day of Remembrance and Honour of the Army Aviation”, was conducted at the “1ST LIEUTENANT (ARTY) PERISSAKIS GEORGIOS” Camp in Stefanovikio.

The ceremony was honoured by the presence of the Mayor of Rigas Fereos Mr Dimitrios Nasikas, the Commander of the 1st Army/EU-OHQ “ACHILLEAS” Lieutenant General Ioannis Tsioplios, the Vice Regional Governor of Magnesia and Northern Sporades Ms Dorothea Kolyndrini, representatives of the religious authorities as well as active and retired Officers of the Armed and Security Forces.

A demonstration of Army Aviation assets and systems was conducted after the conclusion of the ceremony.
