The Basic Parachutist Training Course took place from 23 September to 07 November 2024 in the base of the Parachutists School in Aspropyrgos, Attica, with the participation of 50 personnel of the Army, of which 1 was an officer, 4 were Reserve Officer Cadets, and 45 were NCOs, 71 Conscript Soldiers, and 2 NCOs of the Hellenic Police.
The training included the following:
• Physical Strengthening.
• Parachutist Exercises.
• Jumps from 34-foot training tower.
• Procedures of actions in potential incidents during jump execution.
• Aircraft exit procedures.
• Jumps from CH-47D helicopter and C-130 aircraft.
On Thursday 07 November 2024 the ceremony for the award of parachutist certificates and Static Line Parachutist Wings Insignia for the graduates of the course took place in the presence of the Director of Hellenic Army General Staff/ Special Forces Directorate, Major General Ioannis Korelis.
