On Wednesday, 07 February 2024, a ceremony was held at Camp “KARAISKAKI B” in Haidari for the inauguration of the new Headquarters of the Base Support Command.

The ceremony was attended by the Chief of Hellenic National Defence General Staff, General Dimitrios Choupis, the Very Reverend Archimandrite Nikolaos Krassas as representative of the Metropolitan of Nikea, the Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis, the Honorary Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff, General Charalampos Lalousis (ret.), the Commanding General of the Hellenic Army Support Command “AEGEAS”, Lieutenant General Dimitrios Bolomytis, the Chief of Staff of the Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Dimitrios Vakentis, active duty and retired Officers, and other guests.

After the ceremony, the attendees were given a tour of the new Headquarters, the new military housing units, and the Special Army Unit Supply Centre’s Western Attica Branch.
