During June 2018, the Army, in the context of its contribution to society, provided personnel and vehicles from the Land Minefield Clearance Battalion, for the search and grant of 215 acres of land to the local communities, in which 14 mines, 82 missiles of various types and 16 grenades were detected and destroyed.
In addition, 9 incidents of explosive devices / mechanisms – ammunition (EOD) detection were managed immediately and successfully, night and day, upon request of the Ministry of Citizens’ Protection competent Authorities. 10 grenades, 4 missiles of various types and 1 mine were destroyed.
