Personnel and assets were provided for the execution of public interest works throughout the Hellenic Territory, in February 2019, in the context of the Army’s contribution to society.
The following activities are indicatively mentioned:
– Visits of medical units for inhabitants’ preventive medical exams, student’s briefing on First Aid actions as well as works for the improvement of school facilities.
– Snow clearance works for the routes leading to the Chora and Palaia Poli settlements, in the area of Krimniotissa and at the provincial road Alonia – Kamariotissa of the island of Samothrace.
The Army, apart from its operational duties, also assists local communities in cooperation with the local authorities, aiming to provide social assistance and improve the living conditions of our fellow men and women.
