During March 2018, the Army, within the framework of its social contribution, conducted 35 day and night missions with helicopters of the 1st Army Aviation Brigade for the aeromedical evacuation of 42 patients from islands of the Central and Southeast Aegean to city hospitals.
It is stressed that Army Aviation helicopters carry out the above social contribution activities in addition to their multiple everyday operational involvements (exercises, troop transportation, surveillance, reconnaissance, etc.).
