During August 2018, the Army, within the framework of its social contribution, provided Army Landmine Clearance Battalion personnel and assets to search 1.83 hectares of land, where 35 mines, 42 pieces of ammunition, 17 hand grenades, and 28 M49 trip flares were found, cleared, and disposed of.
Furthermore, 13 EOD incidents were immediately and successfully handled, during both day and night time, upon request by the competent authorities of the Ministry of Citizen Protection. 5 hand grenades and 381 pieces of ammunition were disposed of.
