On Thursday, 19 April 2018, the annual trisagion and wreath laying took place, at the location of the Monument for the rest of the souls and to pay tribute to the four members of the Army, who were fatally injured in the line of duty, with a helicopter of Army Aviation, at Sarantaporo – Elassona on 19 April 2017.
The Chief of the Hellenic Army General Staff, Lt General Alkiviadis Stefanis attended the ceremony, along with the Commander of the Army, the families of the deceased and representatives from the Region, the Local Self-Government, the Association of Retired Members of the Military, the Religious, Military and Political Authorities of the area, as well as citizens from the SARANTAPORO village.
