On Sunday, 09 June 2019, the annual memorial service was held in memory of the raiders and members of the Sacred Band killed during our Nation’s struggles, in the Mountain Commando Companies’ Monument in Kavouri, Attica.
This ceremony was established by the founder of the Special Forces, Major General Andreas Kallinskis and it is held every year, organized by the Special Forces Directorate of HAGS.
The service was attended by the Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Georgios Kampas, the Hellenic Army Inspector General, Lieutenant General Antonios Nomikos, the Special Forces Director Major General Evangelos Papadopoulos, MPs, Honorary Chiefs of HAGS, representatives of local authorities and of Army personnel, and crowds of people.
