From 15 to 17 June 2021, the HAGS/Chief Lieutenant General Charalambos Lalousis participated in the 28th Conference of European Armies, held in Wiesbaden, Germany, by care of the Command of U.S. Forces in Europe-Africa (USAREUR-AF).
The Conference, which is one of the top activities concerning the cooperation for the defence in Europe, was attended by the Commander of the Command of U.S. Forces in Europe-Africa (USAREUR-AF), by Army Chiefs of European States, USA, Canada and Israel (representative).
The main subject of the Conference was the modernization of land forces. During the talks, a detailed reference was made to the problems caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
On the sidelines of the Conference, the Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff met with his American counterpart, General James C. McConville. The meeting was held in an excellent climate and it confirmed the common objective for an even greater reinforcement of the cooperation of the two sides.
