On Tuesday 30 June 2026, His Excellency the President of the Hellenic Republic, Mr. Konstantinos Tasoulas and the Chief HAGS, Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis, as representative of the Chief HNDGS, General Dimitrios Choupis, attended the Commemorative Events for the 113rd Anniversary of the Massacre of Doxato.

The events included a doxology in the Church of Saint Athanasios in Doxato, which was officiated by His Eminence the Metropolitan of Drama Mr. Dorotheos, as well as a Memorial Service, and the laying of wreaths.

The event was attended by the Deputy Minister of Development, Mr. Stavros Kalafatis, MPs for Drama Mr. Dimitrios Kyriazidis, Mr. Theofilos Xanthopoulos, and Mr. Anastasios Nikolaidis, the Mayor of Doxato, Mr. Georgios Vogiatzis, the Commanding General of the Supreme Military Command of Epirus and Macedonia / NRDC-GR “MEGAS ALEXANDROS”, Lieutenant General Grigorios Bountliakis, representatives of the Local Government and Religious Authorities, active duty and retired officers of the Armed and Security Forces, as well as other guests.
