From 09 to 10 June 2026, the Chief/HAGS, Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis, paid an official visit to Romania, following an invitation from his counterpart.
On Tuesday 09 June 2026, the Chief visited the Headquarters of the Romanian Army, where he was received by the Chief of the Romanian Land Forces, Lieutenant General Ciprian Marin. During the meeting, which took place in an excellent atmosphere, matters of mutual interest regarding the enhancement of the bilateral cooperation in the area of land forces, the discovery of new cooperation opportunities within the alliance framework, as well as the development and deepening of relations between the two Armies were discussed.
On Wednesday 10 June 2026, the Chief visited the Headquarters of the Multinational Division South – East HQ (HQ MND – SE), where he was received by the Commanding General of the Division, Major General Cornel Tonea – Balan, and was briefed on the mission of the Headquarters.
Finally, the Chief visited the Greek Embassy, where he met with the Ambassador of Greece in Bucharest, Ms. Lili-Evangelia Grammatika, with whom they discussed about bilateral relations.
