On Monday, 25 May 2026, in the presence of the Deputy Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Andreas Koronakis, the Hellenic Contingent in Cyprus change of command ceremony took place at Camp “STAVRIANAKOU”, with Colonel (Inf) Ioannis Nasios relinquishing command to Colonel (Inf) Spyridon Goulousis.

The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr. Vasilios Palmas, as representative of H.E. the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr. Christodoulides Nikos, the Chief of Cypriot National Guard General Staff, Lieutenant General Emmanouil Theodorou, the Ambassador of Greece to Cyprus, Mr. Kollias Konstantinos, representatives of the local and religious authorities, active duty and retired Armed and Security Forces officers, and other guests.
