On Sunday 24 May 2026, the Chief/HNDGS, General Dimitrios Choupis, attended the Annual Memorial Service in honour of the Sacred Band Members and Raiders, who fell for Religion and Country, which was held at the Mountain Raiders Company Memorial, in Kavouri, Attica.

The memorial service was attended by:

• The Very Reverend Archimandrite Nifon Syrianos, as representative of the Metropolitan of Glyfada, Elliniko, Vari, Voula, and Vouliagmeni, Mr. Antonios.

• The General Secretary of Justice, Mr. Pelops Laskos.

• The Honorary Chief/HNDGS, General (ret.) Konstantinos Floros.

• The Commanding General of the Special Warfare Command of HNDGS, Lieutenant General Konstantinos Gakis.

• Commodore Georgios Lymberis HN, as representative of the Chief/HNGS Vice Admiral Dimitrios – Eleftherios Kataras HN.

• Brigadier General (HAF) Dimitrios Maragoudakis, as representative of the Chief/HAFGS, Lieutenant General (HAF) Dimosthenis Grigoriadis.

• The Commanding General of the Special Forces Command of HAGS, Brigadier General Vasilios Papadopoulos.

• Commander Andreas Charalambidis, as representative of the Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus in Athens, Mr. Stavros Avgoustidis.

• Representatives of Local Government, active duty and retired Officers of the Armed and Security Forces, family members of the Fallen, and other guests.
