On Sunday 5 April 2026, the Secretary General of Local Government and Decentralisation, Mr. Savvas Chionidis, as representative of the Hellenic Government, and the Chief HAGS, Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis, accompanied by the Commanding General of the Supreme Military Command of Epirus and Macedonia/NRDC-GR “ALEXANDER THE GREAT”, Lieutenant General Grigorios Bountliakis, attended the Commemorative Event for the 82nd anniversary of the Massacre of Kleisoura.

The event included a Divine Liturgy in the Church of St. Dimitrios, a Memorial Service, and the Laying of Wreaths.

The event was attended by MP Ms. Maria Antoniou, the Head of the Region of Western Macedonia, Mr. Georgios Amanatidis, the Mayor of Kastoria, Mr. Giannis Korentsidis, His Eminence the Metropolitan of Kastoria, Mr. Kallinikos, representatives of Local Government and the Church of Greece, active duty and retired officers of the Armed and Security Forces, and other guests.
