The feast of the Patron Saint of the Artillery, the Great Martyr Saint Barbara was celebrated at the Artillery School in “Major Georgiadis Thomas” Camp, in Nea Peramos, Attica, on Thursday 04 December 2025, in the presence of the Deputy Minister of National Defence Mr Thanasis Davakis, as representative of the Hellenic Government, the Chief/HNDGS, General Dimitrios Choupis, and the Army Inspector General – Deputy Chief/HAGS, Lieutenant General Andreas Koronakis, as representative of the Chief/HAGS, Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis.

The ceremony was honoured by the presence of:

The ceremony was followed by an artillery weapon systems demonstration and a demonstration of a 105 mil. Howitzer Platoon firing procedure by personnel of the Artillery School. Finally, the guests had the opportunity to take a tour of the exhibition of historical vehicles, assets, historical memorabilia, and other museum exhibits.
