From 18 to 20 August 2025, the Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis, accompanied by the Commanding General of the Supreme Military Command of Interior and Islands “AEGEAS”, Lieutenant General Emmanouil Theodorou, visited the Area of Responsibility of the 79^th Higher National Guard Battalions Command “MYKALI” and the 80^th Higher National Guard Battalions Command “KOS”.

In particular, from 18 to 19 August 2025, the Chief visited the Headquarters of the 79^th Higher National Guard Battalions Command “MYKALI” at Camp “VASMANOLI”, the Ikaria Island Defence Command at Camp “TSIMPIDI”, the Surveillance Outpost of Agathonisi, Units, and military installations.

Furthermore, on 20 August 2025, the Chief visited the Area of Responsibility of the 80^th Higher National Guard Battalions Command “KOS”. In particular, he visited Camp “EMMANOUIL XANTHOU”, the headquarters of the National Guard Battalion of Patmos, and the 111^th National Guard Unit Company. The Chief then visited the islet of Arkii, where he met with local National Guardsmen.

Finally, during his visits, the Chief gave a short address, provided guidelines, and congratulated the personnel for their work.
