On Tuesday 05 August 2025, the Chief of the Hellenic Army General Staff Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis, received the Italian Army Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Carmine Masiello, at the premises of the Hellenic Army Academy (Evelpidon) in Vari – Attica, in the framework of his official visit to our country, after an invitation.

During the meeting, which was conducted in exceptional terms, the enhancement of cooperation was discussed, views were exchanged on issues of common interest and new fields of cooperation were explored.

Afterwards, he was briefed on the Academy’s work, he was given a tour of its facilities and of the Museum.

Finally, he visited the Research, Technological Development and Innovation Centre of HNDGS, where he was briefed on its work and mission, he was given a tour of the Artificial Intelligence and Planning Laboratories and he observed a static demonstration of unmanned systems.
