On Monday, 7 July 2025, the Minister of National Defence, Mr. Nikolaos Dendias, accompanied by the Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis, and the Commanding General of the Hellenic First Army/EU OHQ “ACHILLEAS”, Lieutenant General Stavros Papastathopoulos, went to the Litochoro proving ground where the cadets of the Hellenic Military Academy (Evelpidon) conduct summer – field training and 59 high school students attend the 1st Summer Campus.
During the visit, they were briefed on the summer training conducted by the Academy cadets, as well as on the training schedule followed by the Summer Campus participants, and attended part of the training activities.
The Chief then visited the Hellenic Army War College, which currently hosts the Land Tactical Planning Course with 20 students from 14 foreign countries. During his visit, the Chief was briefed on the training provided, gave a short address, and provided guidelines to the personnel.
