On Saturday 05 July 2025, in the context of upgrading the institution of the Reserve, events on the “Reorganisation of the Institution of the Reserve” were held at the Amphitheatre “LT GEN THOMAS ADAMOU” at the HQ of the 1ST ARMY/EU-OHQ “ACHILLEAS”.

The aim of the events was to inform the personnel of the Armed Forces, Reserve Officers, and soldiers on the results of the respective event held at the Hellenic Army Academy on 26 April 2025.

The event was attended by H.E. the Metropolitan of Larissa and Tyrnavos Ieronymos, the Honorary Chief of HAGS General (ret.) Konstantinos Ginis, who was given a speech on “Reserve and Mobilisation – Challenges posed for the Greek Army in times of competition between the Great Powers”, the Honorary Chief of Cypriot National Guard General Staff Lieutenant General (ret.) Dimokritos Zervakis, who made a teleconference and presented the reserve model for Cyprus, the Commanding General of 1ST ARMY/EU-OHQ “ACHILLEAS” Lieutenant General Stavros Papastathopoulos, the Deputy Regional Governor for Trikala Region Ms Christoula Ntinti, the Deputy Regional Governor for Karditsa Region Mr. Konstantinos Telios, the Director of the Mobilisation and National Guard Directorate of HAGS, Brigadier General Zacharopoulos Grigorios, the President of the Supreme Panhellenic Federation of Reserve Officers Mr. Filippos Kostaras, representatives of local Reserve Officer Associations for the Prefectures of Thessaly, active duty and retired Armed and Security Forces Officers, and representatives of local authorities.
