On Thursday 20 February 2025, in the presence of the Commanding General of the Hellenic First Army/EU-OHQ “ACHILLES”, Lieutenant General Stavros Papastathopoulos, as representative of the Chief/Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis, the Change of Command ceremony of the Career NCOs Academy took place at “KAVRAKOS” Camp in Trikala, with Brigadier General Grigorios Garoufalias assuming command from Major General Georgios Papageorgiou.

The ceremony was honoured by the presence of the Metropolitan of Stagoi and Meteora Mr Theoklitos, who officiated the Ceremony, Colonel (Pilot) Dimitrios Papastogiannis as representative of Chief/HAFGS Lieutenant General Dimosthenis Grigoriadis, Captain Nikolaos Sartzis HN as representative of Chief/HNGS, Vice Admiral Dimitrios Eleftherios Kataras HN, Deputy Head of Region for the Regional Unit of Trikala Ms Chrysa Didi, representatives of the Local Self-government, of the Police and Fire Service, active and retired officers, as well as other guests.
