On Thursday June 21 2018, the Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Alkiviadis Stefanis attended the Tactical Field Training Exercise “MAJOR KONSTANTINOS TZAVELAS”, at “AETOS” Exercise Field, in Alexandroupoli.

In the context of the exercise, tank company group offensive operations procedures and techniques were examined, with the participation of:

• Personnel and means of the XXIII Armoured Brigade (“3rd CAVALRY REGIMENT – DORILEO”).

• A pair of attack helicopters AH-64 APACHE and a transport helicopter UH-1H, of the 1st Army Aviation Brigade.

The exercise was also attended by a delegation of four Egyptian Army Officers as observers, in the context of the Military Cooperation Programme between Greece and Egypt for the year 2018.

Upon termination of this activity the Chief congratulated all the trainees, highlighting the excellent organization, the professional thoroughness and the offensive spirit which characterised the design and performance of the exercise.
