On July 12, 2018 a ceremony for the award of static line parachutists diplomas and badges to those who successfully graduated from the Parachutists Basic Training School of 2018 B Enlistment Series, was held at the Headquarters of the Parachutists School in Aspropirgos, Attica.
This demanding and specialized training, held at the Parachutists School from 11 June to 12 July, 2018 was successfully completed by 5 Officers (2 of them from the Hellenic Navy), 5 Non-Commissioned Officers (2 of them from the National Guard General Staff), and 48 servicemen.
The diplomas and the badges were awarded by the Director of the Special Forces Directorate, Hellenic Army General Staff, Major General Nikolaos Chionis.
The ceremony was attended by relatives and friends of the new parachutists, old parachutists, whereas Panagiotis Giannakis, the living legend of the Hellenic and European basket ball, honoured the ceremony with his presence.
