On Saturday, 06 October 2018, the Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Alkiviadis Stefanis, attended Field Exercise “AGRYPNOS FROUROS”, which took place within the framework of National Joint Exercise “PARMENION – 2018” in the new Range and Proving Ground on Thasos island.
The activity included National Guardsmen of the National Guard Company of Thasos, who conducted live combat fires.
After the end of the exercise, the Chief congratulated all training personnel, who executed a very demanding exercise in an exemplary manner. He stressed the excellent organisation, professional competence, and offensive spirit of the planning and conduct of the entire activity, as well as the discipline and high morale of our National Guardsmen.
The Active Army, Reserve and National Guard continue to secure our territorial integrity.
The training activity was preceded by a blessing of the new Range and Proving Ground “KATHARES” on Thasos island.
