On Wednesday, 06 February 2019, the D Army Corps “THRAKI” Change of Command Ceremony took place in Xanthi, with Lieutenant General Haralambos Lalousis assuming command from Lieutenant General Georgios Kambas, in the presence of the Alternate Minister of National Defence, Mr. Panagiotis Rigas.
The ceremony was attended by the Chief of Hellenic National Defence General Staff, General (HAF) Christos Christodoulou, the Commanding General of the Hellenic First Army, Lieutenant General Konstantinos Floros, delegations of Officers and NCOs of the Armed and Security Forces, representatives of the local civilian, political, and religious authorities, and other guests.
