In February 2019, the Hellenic Army executed 21 air evacuation missions, using the 1st Army Aviation Brigade helicopters, for the transfer of 31 patients from the central and South-eastern Aegean islands to urban hospitals, during day and night.
The Army Aviation helicopters provide the aforementioned services of contribution to society on a daily basis, without decreasing their engagement in their everyday multiple operational activities (exercises, troops’ transport, surveillance, reconnaissance, etc.).
