On Thursday, 01 August 2019, the Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Georgios Kambas, accompanied by the Commanding General of the Hellenic First Army/EU-OHQ “AHILLEAS”, Lieutenant General Konstantinos Floros, and the Commanding General of D Army Corps, Lieutenant General Haralambos Lalousis, visited:

The Headquarters of the XVI Mechanised Infantry Division “DIDYMOTIHO” and the Surveillance Outpost of Marasia, where he provided guidelines to the personnel.
Surveillance Outpost 1 and the area of Kastanies, where he discussed with the personnel and locals.
The Surveillance Outpost of Petrades, where he inspected the Division’s rapid intervention troops.
The Surveillance Outpost of Mavros Ongos and the Psilos Stalos Proving Ground – Range in the Area of Responsibility of the 50th Mechanised Brigade “APSOS”, where he attended training activities.
The Area of Responsibility of the XII Mechanised Infantry Division “EVROS”, where he addressed its personnel.
The Headquarters of the XII Mechanised Infantry Division “EVROS”, where he was briefed on the Formation’s activities.
During the visits, the Chief discussed with and provided guidelines to the personnel of the Outposts, Units, and Formations, and inspected the readiness of rapid intervention troops and Surveillance Outposts.
