On 16 August 2019, the Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Georgios Kampas, during his visit in the Area of Responsibility of the XII Mechanised Infantry Division, visited the Port of Alexandroupoli, accompanied by the Commander of the Division Major General Angelos Choudeloudis.
The purpose of his visit was to be informed about the progress of the works for the recovery of Dredger “OLGA” through the port, which are conducted in cooperation with the USA.
A short briefing about the progress of the works was presented by the Technical Director of the Port Authority of Alexandroupoli Mr. Christos Gazepis.
