AN/TPQ 37 FIREFINDER RADAR

DESCRIPTION

This Radar is of American manufacture and origin. It achieves fast, accurate and reliable detection of the positions of enemy curved-track weapons (mortars, guns, multiple rocket launchers) in action. It is used by P.P.A.R.A.’s and formation gunners to locate enemy curved-track weapon positions. This enables the detection of enemy divisions firing simultaneously missiles and rockets from various directions, as well as the isolation of the trajectories of curved-track weapons (rockets, etc.) from other flying objects (A/Fs), quadcopters (DRONES), birds (etc.).

The search range is 1600 mm, expandable to 4800 mm with automatic switching of 3 search areas (3 x 1600) in a matter of seconds.
