Chief of the Hellenic Army General Staff

Lt. Gen. (GRC A)

Georgios Kostidis

Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis was born in 1965 in Kastoria. He was admitted in 1983 to the Hellenic Military Academy from which he graduated in 1987 with the rank of Second Lieutenant of the Armoured Forces.

He has attended all Armour courses, as well as the Supreme Army War College and the Hellenic National Defence College.

During his career, he has served in Armour Units and, as a Commander, he has served in the 289th Medium Tank Company (Samothrace), the 6th Medium Tank Battalion (Vyronia), the 212th Medium Tank Battalion (Lagos), and a ΝΑΤΟ Operational Mentor and Liaison Team (Afghanistan).

He has served as staff officer in ISAF-HQ Operations in Afghanistan, Training and Operations Staff Office Director of the 7th Mechanised Brigade, Operations Staff Officer of the South Eastern Europe Brigade, Training and Exercises Section Chief NRDC-GR, Operational Planning Chair Director in the Supreme Joint War College, Deputy Commander of the 34th Mechanised Brigade, and Director of the Operations Directorate of the Hellenic First Field Army/European Union Operations Headquarters.

In 2017, he was promoted to Brigadier General and assumed Command of an Operational Formation abroad.

In 2019, he was promoted to Major General and assigned as Commanding General of the Service Support Division. In March 2020, he was assigned as Deputy Commanding General of D’ Army Corps.

On 09 March 2021, he was assigned as Commandant of the Hellenic Military Academy (Evelpidon).

On 08 March 2022, he was promoted to Lieutenant General and assigned as Commanding General of the Supreme Hellenic Army Support Command.
On 12 January 2024, upon decision of the Governmental National Security Council, he assumed the duties of Chief of the Hellenic Army General Staff.

Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis has been awarded all decorations, commendations, and medals provided for his rank.

He holds a Masters Degree in Management of Operational Planning from Nottingham Trent University.

He speaks English fluently.

He is married and has two sons.

Γενικός Επιθεωρητής Στρατού – Υπαρχηγός ΓΕΣ

Αντιστράτηγος

Ανδρέας Κορωνάκης

Ο Αντιστράτηγος Ανδρέας Κορωνάκης γεννήθηκε το 1964 στην Αθήνα. Εισήλθε το 1983 στη Στρατιωτική Σχολή Ευελπίδων, από την οποία αποφοίτησε το 1987 με το βαθμό του Ανθυπολοχαγού Μηχανικού.

Ως κατώτερος Αξιωματικός υπηρέτησε σε Μονάδες του Όπλου του με τα καθήκοντα του Διμοιρίτη και του Διοικητή Λόχου.

Φοίτησε σε όλα τα προβλεπόμενα σχολεία του Όπλου του ΜΧ. Έχει αποφοιτήσει από τη Σχολή Τεχνικής Εκπαίδευσης Αξιωματικών Μηχανικού.

Το 2007 αποφοίτησε από την Ανώτατη Διακλαδική Σχολή Πολέμου.

Κατά τη διάρκεια της σταδιοδρομίας του ως ανώτερος Αξιωματικός, υπηρέτησε ως Διοικητής Μηχανικού στη ΙΙ M/K ΜΠ και στο Β΄ΣΣ, ως Διευθυντής στην 736 Διεύθυνση Στρατιωτικών ‘Έργων και ως Διοικητής στο ΚΕΜΧ.

Με την προαγωγή του σε Συνταγματάρχη το 2012, φοίτησε στη Σχολή Εθνικής Άμυνας και στη συνέχεια τοποθετήθηκε ως Διοικητής Μηχανικού στην ΑΣΔΕΝ.

Το 2017 προήχθη σε Ταξίαρχο και τοποθετήθηκε ως Γενικός Διευθυντής στον Α.Ο.Ο.Α.

Το 2020 προήχθη στο βαθμό του Υποστρατήγου και το 2021 του ανατέθηκαν τα καθήκοντα του Διευθυντή Γ΄ Κλάδου του ΓΕΣ.

Την 17 Ιανουαρίου 2023 με απόφαση του ΚΥΣΕΑ προήχθη σε Αντιστράτηγο και ανέλαβε τα καθήκοντα του Υπαρχηγού του ΓΕΣ.

Την 11 Ιανουαρίου 2025 με απόφαση του ΚΥΣΕΑ ανέλαβε τα καθήκοντα του Γενικού Επιθεωρητή Στρατού – Υπαρχηγού του ΓΕΣ.

Στον Αντιστράτηγο Ανδρέα Κορωνάκη, έχει απονεμηθεί το σύνολο των προβλεπόμενων Παρασήμων, Μεταλλίων και Διαμνημονεύσεων.

Έχει δυο τέκνα:

Διοικητής 1ης ΣΤΡΑΤΙΑΣ/EU-OHQ

Αντιστράτηγος

Σταύρος Παπασταθόπουλος

Ο Αντιστράτηγος Σταύρος Παπασταθόπουλος γεννήθηκε στη Λευκωσία Κύπρου, το 1966. Εισήχθη στη Στρατιωτική Σχολή Ευελπίδων το 1984 από την οποία αποφοίτησε το 1988, ως Ανθυπολοχαγός Πυροβολικού.
Μέχρι και το βαθμό του Ταγματάρχη (1988 – 2006) υπηρέτησε σε διάφορες Μονάδες Πυροβολικού, καθώς επίσης και ως Διμοιρίτης στη Στρατιωτική Σχολή Ευελπίδων και ως Εκπαιδευτής στη Σχολή Πυροβολικού. Επίσης υπηρέτησε σε διάφορες επιτελικές θέσεις και ως Υπασπιστής του Αρχηγού ΓΕΕΘΑ. Με την προαγωγή του στο βαθμό του Αντισυνταγματάρχη (2007) ανέλαβε τη διοίκηση της 163 Α/Κ Μοίρας Μέσου Πυροβολικού (PzH 2000 GR), με το τέλος της οποίας (2009) μετατέθηκε στη Στρατιωτική Αντιπροσωπεία της Χώρας μας στη Στρατιωτική Επιτροπή του ΝΑΤΟ, στις Βρυξέλλες. Με τη λήξη της θητείας του στη θέση αυτή (2012) τοποθετήθηκε ως Διευθυντής του Επιτελικού Γραφείου του Αρχηγού ΓΕΣ, όπου και προήχθη στο βαθμό του Συνταγματάρχη. Ακολούθως (2014), τοποθετήθηκε ως Διοικητής Πυροβολικού της ΧΙΙ Μ/Κ Μεραρχίας Πεζικού «ΕΒΡΟΥ» και στη συνέχεια (2015) στη Διεύθυνση Σχεδίων και Ασκήσεων του ΓΕΣ, αρχικά ως Τμηματάρχης Εθνικών και Διεθνών Ασκήσεων και ακολούθως (2016) ως Τμηματάρχης Διεθνών Σχεδίων – Διεθνών Επιχειρήσεων. Το 2017 προήχθη στο βαθμό του Ταξιάρχου και τοποθετήθηκε ως Διευθυντής της Διεύθυνσης Αμυντικού Σχεδιασμού και Προγραμματισμού του ΓΕΣ. Το 2019 ανέλαβε τη διοίκηση της 96 Ανωτέρας Διοίκησης Ταγμάτων Εθνοφυλακής «ΧΙΟΣ», ενώ το 2020 προήχθη στο βαθμό του Υποστρατήγου τοποθετούμενος ως Διευθυντής του Δ’ Κλάδου του ΓΕΣ (Αμυντικός Σχεδιασμός-Οργάνωση). Ακολούθως, το 2021 ανέλαβε τη διοίκηση της ΧΙΙ Μ/Κ Μεραρχίας Πεζικού «ΕΒΡΟΥ» και στη συνέχεια, το 2022, του ανατέθηκε η διοίκηση της Στρατιωτικής Σχολής Ευελπίδων. Στις 17 Ιανουαρίου 2023 προήχθη στο βαθμό του Αντιστρατήγου και τοποθετήθηκε στη θέση του Επιτελάρχη του ΓΕΣ. Στις 15 Ιανουαρίου 2024 τοποθετήθηκε στη θέση του Διοικητή του Δ’ΣΣ «ΘΡΑΚΗ». Στις 11 Ιανουαρίου 2025, του ανατέθηκαν τα καθήκοντα του Διοικητή 1ης ΣΤΡΑΤΙΑΣ/EU-OHQ.

Κατά τη διάρκεια της σταδιοδρομίας του αποφοίτησε από όλα τα προβλεπόμενα στρατιωτικά σχολεία του Πυροβολικού, καθώς επίσης και από τη Σχολή Επιτελών του Στρατού Ξηράς, την Ανώτατη Σχολή Πολέμου, τη Διακλαδική Σχολή Επιτελών Άμυνας και τη Σχολή Εθνικής Άμυνας. Επίσης αποφοίτησε από το Βασικό Τμήμα της Σχολής Χημικού Πολέμου του Στρατού των Η.Π.Α και από τη Σχολή Διοίκησης και Επιτελών του Στρατού των Η.Π.Α (διά αλληλογραφίας).
Επιπρόσθετα, ο Αντιστράτηγος Σταύρος Παπασταθόπουλος κατέχει μεταπτυχιακούς τίτλους σπουδών από το Νaval Postgraduate School, Monterey, California – Η.Π.Α [Master of Arts in Security Studies (Defense Decision – Making and Planning)], κατόπιν φοιτήσεώς του στο εν λόγω Πανεπιστήμιο την περίοδο 2003-2004 και από το Plymouth University – Hνωμένο Βασίλειο (Master of Arts in Applied Strategy and International Security), μέσω της φοίτησής του στη Σχολή Εθνικής Άμυνας, την περίοδο 2013-2014. Επίσης, είναι υποψήφιος Διδάκτορας του Τμήματος Διεθνών, Ευρωπαϊκών και Περιφερειακών Σπουδών του Παντείου Πανεπιστημίου Κοινωνικών και Πολιτικών Επιστημών.

Τέλος, είναι κάτοχος πτυχίων γλωσσομάθειας της Αγγλικής γλώσσας (άριστη γνώση) και της Γαλλικής γλώσσας (καλή γνώση).

Σε ό,τι αφορά στην οικογενειακή του κατάσταση, ο Αντιστράτηγος Σταύρος Παπασταθόπουλος είναι παντρεμένος και έχει δύο τέκνα, 23 και 20 ετών.

Διοικητής ΑΣΔΑΑΜ

Αντιστράτηγος

Δημήτριος Βακεντής

Ο Αντιστράτηγος Δημήτριος Βακεντής γεννήθηκε στους Μυτιληνιούς Σάμου, το 1966. Εισήχθη στη Στρατιωτική Σχολή Ευελπίδων το 1984 από την οποία αποφοίτησε το 1988, ως Ανθυπολοχαγός Πεζικού.

Μέχρι και το βαθμό του Ταγματάρχη (1988 – 2006) υπηρέτησε σε διάφορες Μονάδες Πεζικού μεταξύ αυτών και στο 2ο Μ/Κ ΤΠ της ΕΛΔΥΚ, καθώς επίσης και ως Διμοιρίτης στη Σχολή Μονίμων Υπαξιωματικών και Εκπαιδευτής στο Βασικό Τμήμα της Σχολής Πεζικού. Υπηρέτησε σε διάφορες επιτελικές θέσεις, στον Έβρο και στα νησιά του Αιγαίου και το 2006 τοποθετήθηκε ως ΜΑ to SMR στο NHTi. Μετά την προαγωγή του στο βαθμό του Αντισυνταγματάρχη (2007) ανέλαβε τη διοίκηση του 298 Μ/Κ ΤΑΓΜΑΤΟΣ της 79 ΑΔΤΕ. Το 2013 προήχθη στον βαθμό του Συνταγματάρχη. Ακολούθως τοποθετήθηκε στο Γενικό Επιτελείο Στρατού στη Διεύθυνση Εκπαίδευσης και στη συνέχεια (2015 – 2017) τοποθετήθηκε στην 79 ΑΔΤΕ ως Επιτελάρχης. Το 2018 προήχθη στο βαθμό του Ταξιάρχου και τοποθετήθηκε ως Υποδιοικητής στην 98 ΑΔΤΕ «ΑΡΧΙΠΕΛΑΓΟΥΣ». Το 2019 ανέλαβε τη διοίκηση της 79 Ανωτέρας Διοίκησης Ταγμάτων Εθνοφυλακής «ΜΥΚΑΛΗ» και το 2020 τοποθετήθηκε ως Επιτελάρχης στην Ανώτερη Στρατιωτική Διοίκηση Εσωτερικών και Νήσων (ΑΣΔΕΝ). Το 2021 προήχθη στο βαθμό του Υποστρατήγου τοποθετούμενος ως Επιτελάρχης στην 1η ΣΤΡΑΤΙΑ – OHQ «ΑΧΙΛΛΕΑΣ». Ακολούθως το 2022, του ανατέθηκε η διοίκηση της 95 ΑΔΤΕ «ΔΙΑΓΟΡΙΔΩΝ» και το 2023 τοποθετήθηκε ως Επιτελάρχης στην Ανώτερη Στρατιωτική Διοίκηση Υποστήριξης Στρατού (ΑΣΔΥΣ). Στις 13 Ιανουαρίου 2024 προήχθη στο βαθμό του Αντιστρατήγου και τοποθετήθηκε στη θέση του Επιτελάρχη του ΓΕΣ. Την 11 Ιανουαρίου 2025, κατόπιν απόφασης του ΚΥΣΕΑ, του ανατέθηκαν τα καθήκοντα του Διοικητή ΑΣΔΥΣ. Την 9 Σεπτεμβρίου 2025, κατόπιν απόφασης του ΚΥΣΕΑ, του ανατέθηκαν τα καθήκοντα του Διοικητή ΑΣΔΑΑΜ.

Κατά τη διάρκεια της σταδιοδρομίας του αποφοίτησε από όλα τα προβλεπόμενα στρατιωτικά σχολεία του Πεζικού, καθώς επίσης και από τη Σχολή Επιτελών του Στρατού Ξηράς, την Ανώτατη Σχολή Πολέμου και τη Σχολή Εθνικής Άμυνας.

Είναι κάτοχος πτυχίου γλωσσομάθειας της Αγγλικής γλώσσας (καλή γνώση).

Είναι παντρεμένος με την Δέσποινα Καββαδά και έχει δύο τέκνα, 31 και 28 ετών.

Αθανάσιος Σαρδέλλης

Ο Αντιστράτηγος Αθανάσιος Σαρδέλλης γεννήθηκε στην Αθήνα το 1966. Εισήχθη στη Στρατιωτική Σχολή Ευελπίδων το 1984 και αποφοίτησε το 1988 ως Ανθυπολοχαγός Πυροβολικού.

Κατά τη διάρκεια της σταδιοδρομίας του, υπηρέτησε σε Μονάδες Πυροβολικού Μάχης και Aντιαεροπορικού Πυροβολικού, ασκώντας διοίκηση όλων των επιπέδων, συμπεριλαμβανομένων αυτών του Διοικητή Πυροβολαρχίας Κατευθυνομένων Βλημάτων «HAWK» , του Υποδιοικητή Μοίρας Κατευθυνομένων Βλημάτων «OSA-AK» και του Υποδιοικητή Αυτοκινούμενης Μοίρας Μέσου Πυροβολικού «PzH2000GR». Το έτος 2006 τοποθετήθηκε ως Διοικητής της 182 Μοίρας Κατευθυνομένων Βλημάτων TOR-M1.

Το έτος 2024 με απόφαση του ΚΥΣΕΑ προήχθη σε Αντιστράτηγο και τοποθετήθηκε ως Διοικητής στη Σχολή Εθνικής Άμυνας (ΣΕΘΑ)

O Αντιστράτηγος Αθανάσιος Σαρδέλλης έχει παρακολουθήσει επιτυχώς όλα τα σχολεία του Πυροβολικού. Το έτος 2000 αποφοίτησε επιτυχώς από την Ανώτατη Σχολή Πολέμου και το έτος 2013 από τη Σχολή Εθνικής Άμυνας. Είναι απόφοιτος του Βασικού Σχολείου Χημικού Πολέμου των ΗΠΑ και παρακολούθησε τα «GBAD Evaluation and Operations» και «Force Generation Planning» Courses του NATO School (Oberammergau, Γερμανία).

Είναι κάτοχος μεταπτυχιακού τίτλου «Εφαρμοσμένης Στρατηγικής και Διεθνούς Ασφάλειας» του Πανεπιστημίου του Plymouth (Αγγλία).

Κατέχει όλα τα προβλεπόμενα από τον βαθμό του Μετάλλια και Διαμνημονεύσεις. Το έτος 2015 ανακηρύχθηκε από την Ένωση Αμερικανικού Πυροβολικού Μάχης (United States Field Artillery Association) μέλος του Honorable Order of Saint Barbara ενώ το έτος 2020 τιμήθηκε από τον Μητροπολίτη Χίου Ψαρών και Οινουσσών, κ.κ. Μάρκο, με τον Σταυρό του Αγίου Ισιδώρου.

Ομιλεί Αγγλικά και Ιταλικά. Είναι νυμφευμένος με την Έλενα και έχουν δύο τέκνα ηλικίας 30 και 27 ετών.

Αντιστράτηγος

Μιχαήλ Κλούβας

Ο Αντιστράτηγος Μιχαήλ Κλούβας γεννήθηκε το 1966 στον Πειραιά. Αποφοίτησε από το 1ο Γενικό Λύκειο Πειραιά και εισήχθη στη Στρατιωτική Σχολή Ευελπίδων το 1984 από την οποία αποφοίτησε το 1988 ως Ανθυπολοχαγός ΜΧ.

Φοίτησε σε όλες τις Σχολές και τα σχολεία του Όπλου του, στην Σχολή Τεχνικής Εκπαίδευσης Αξιωματικών Μηχανικού, στην Ανώτατη Διακλαδική Σχολή Πολέμου και στη Σχολή Εθνικής Αμύνης. Κατά τη διάρκεια της σταδιοδρομίας του μέχρι σήμερα υπηρέτησε σε Μονάδες και Υπηρεσίες του  Μηχανικού, σε Μονάδες του Γενικού Επιτελείου Εθνικής Φρουράς (Κύπρος) καθώς και σε συμμαχικά Στρατηγεία του ΝΑΤΟ (Κωνσταντινούπολη – Αφγανιστάν). Διετέλεσε ως Λοχαγός Υποδιοικητής για 2 έτη στο 96 ΤΜΧΕΘ (Αρμόλια Χίου), ως Ταγματάρχης Διοικητής για 2 έτη στον 7ο Λόχο Μηχανικού (Προβατώνας Έβρου), ως Αντισυνταγματάρχης Διοικητής για 3 έτη στο 747 Ειδικό Τάγμα Μηχανικού (Λουτράκι) και ως Συνταγματάρχης για 3 έτη Διοικητής Μηχανικού στην Ανώτερη Στρατιωτική Διοίκηση Υποστήριξης Στρατού στην Αθήνα.

Ως Ανώτατος Αξιωματικός, Ταξίαρχος από το 2018, Υποστράτηγος από το 2021 και μέχρι σήμερα, υπηρετεί ως Διευθυντής της Μονάδας Μελετών & Κατασκευών (ΜΟΜΚΑ) του Γενικού Επιτελείου Εθνικής Άμυνας.

Κατά την εκτέλεση των καθηκόντων του ως Διοικητής Μηχανικού της ΑΣΔΥΣ, την τριετία 2014-2017, ανέλαβε σημαίνοντα ρόλο στην αντιμετώπιση του προσφυγικού ζητήματος με την μελέτη και την επίβλεψη της κατασκευής του συνόλου των έργου του μεταναστευτικού, στις δομές φιλοξενίας προσφύγων Σχιστού, Σκαραμαγκά, Μαλακάσας, Ελαιώνα Β-Γ, Αγίου Ανδρέα, Ελευσίνας, Ριτσώνας, Θήβας καθώς και την κατασκευή Κέντρων Υποδοχής & Ταυτοποίησης με προκατασκευασμένους οικίσκους στις νήσους Λέρο, Κω και Χίο.

Ως Διευθυντής της ΜΟΜΚΑ από το 2018 έχει συμβάλλει στον σχεδιασμό και στην υλοποίηση κρίσιμων έργων υποδομών, τόσο σε μελετητικό επίπεδο (μετεγκατάσταση Καταστημάτων Κράτησης Κορυδαλλού-Ιωαννίνων-Χαλκίδας, εκπόνηση Γενικού Σχεδίου Διάταξης του Ναυστάθμου Κρήτης και της Ναυτικής Βάσης Αλμυρού), όσο και σε επίπεδο κατασκευής (αρχικές διανοίξεις οδών, κατασκευή αεροδρομίων, εκτέλεση λιμενικών έργων και συντήρηση οδικών δικτύων) σε ακριτικές κατά βάση περιοχές, νησιά και μικρονήσους. Το σύνολο των έργων σε όλη την επικράτεια κατά την διάρκεια της διοίκησής του στη ΜΟΜΚΑ υπερβαίνει τα πενήντα.

Επίσης στο πλαίσιο των αρμοδιοτήτων της ΜΟΜΚΑ έχει συνεισφέρει στην αντιμετώπιση των περισσότερων μεγάλων φυσικών καταστροφών που έπληξαν τα τελευταία χρόνια την χώρα (Πλημμύρες στην Δυτ.Ελλάδα, στα Ιόνια νησιά, στη Μάνδρα Αττικής, πυρκαγιά στο Μάτι, θεομηνίες ΙΑΝΟΣ-DANIEL-ELIAS κτλ) με την αποκατάσταση έργων οδοποιίας (κατασκευή γεφυρών) και τον σχεδιασμό-υλοποίηση αντιπλημμυρικών έργων.

Έχει τιμηθεί με όλα τα προβλεπόμενα παράσημα, μετάλλια και διαμνημονεύσεις.

Είναι κάτοχος πτυχίου Πολιτικού Μηχανικού (δομοστατικός) και μεταπτυχιακού τίτλου σπουδών στον «Δομοστατικό Σχεδιασμό & Ανάλυση των Κατασκευών» του τμήματος Πολιτικών Μηχανικών του Εθνικού Μετσόβιου Πολυτεχνείου. Έχει εκπονήσει έρευνα σε επίπεδο διδακτορικού στην «Καταστατική προσομοίωση του σκυροδέματος σε οχυρωματικά έργα μεγάλου πάχους». Από το 2011 είναι καθηγητής στην Σχολή Τεχνικής Εκπαίδευσης Αξιωματικών Μηχανικού (ΣΤΕΑΜΧ) στο μάθημα της «Οχυρωματικής».

Ομιλεί την Αγγλική γλώσσα και είναι παντρεμένος. Είναι πιστοποιημένος αυτοδύτης (advanced open water diver), αλεξιπτωτιστής σταθερού ιμάντα και στον ελεύθερο χρόνο του ασχολείται σε επίπεδο πρωταθλητισμού με την ιστιοπλοΐα ανοικτής θαλάσσης συμμετέχοντας κάθε χρόνο στην Aegean Regatta, που διεξάγεται στο Ανατολικό Αιγαίο.

Αθανάσιος Γαρίνης

Ο Αντιστράτηγος Αθανάσιος  Γαρίνης  γεννήθηκε στην Κατερίνη. Εισήχθη το 1984 στη Στρατιωτική Σχολή Ευελπίδων από την οποία αποφοίτησε το 1988 με τον βαθμό του Ανθυπολοχαγού των Τεθωρακισμένων.

Φοίτησε σε όλες τις σχολές και τα σχολεία του Όπλου, στην Ανώτατη Σχολή Πολέμου (ΑΣΠ) και στη Σχολή Εθνικής Άμυνας (ΣΕΘΑ). Τιμήθηκε με όλα τα προβλεπόμενα παράσημα, μετάλλια και διαμνημονεύσεις. Είναι κάτοχος Μεταπτυχιακού Τίτλου στην Εφαρμοσμένη Στρατηγική και Διεθνή Ασφάλεια του University of Plymouth.

Κατά τη διάρκεια της Σταδιοδρομίας του υπηρέτησε σε Μονάδες Τεθωρακισμένων, και ως Διοικητής στην 21 ΕΜΑ (Αλεξανδρούπολη) και στο 957 ΤΣΝ (Θεσσαλονίκη).

Έχει υπηρετήσει ως Επιτελής στο HQ NRDC-IT στο Μιλάνο, Διευθυντής 3ου ΕΓ στην XXV Τεθωρακισμένη Ταξιαρχία, Διευθυντής 4ου ΕΓ στην ΧΧΙΙΙ Τεθωρακισμένη Ταξιαρχία, Υποδιευθυντής G5 στο Γ΄ΣΣ/NRDC-GR, Υποδιοικητής της 31 Μ/Κ Ταξιαρχίας και Υποδιευθυντής στην Διεύθυνση Σχεδίων και Ασκήσεων του ΓΕΣ.

Ως Ανώτατος Αξιωματικός (Ταξίαρχος) προήχθη το έτος 2019 και ανέλαβε την Διοίκηση της ΧΧΙΙΙ Τεθωρακισμένης Ταξιαρχίας. Το 2020 τοποθετήθηκε ως Διευθυντής  της  Διεύθυνσης  Αμυντικού  Σχεδιασμού  και  Προγραμματισμού  του ΓΕΕΘΑ.

Το έτος 2022 προήχθη σε Υποστράτηγο και τοποθετήθηκε ως Διοικητής της ΧΧ Τεθωρακισμένης Μεραρχίας. Τον Μάρτιο του 2023 του ανατέθηκαν τα καθήκοντα του Διευθυντή της Διεύθυνσης Ιππικού Τεθωρακισμένων του ΓΕΣ.

Την 13 Ιαν 2024 προήχθη στο βαθμό του Αντιστράτηγου και τοποθετήθηκε ως Δκτής ΑΣΔΗΜ/NRDC-GR

Είναι κάτοχος πτυχίου Αγγλικής Γλώσσας (άριστη γνώση).

Είναι παντρεμένος και έχει δύο κόρες.

Αντιστράτηγος

Γεώργιος Μανουράς

Ο Αντιστράτηγος Γεώργιος Μανουράς, γεννήθηκε στην Αθήνα τον  Μάιο του 1967. Κατάγεται από τα Ανώγεια Ρεθύμνης. Εισήχθη στη Στρατιωτική Σχολή Ευελπίδων το 1985 και απεφοίτησε το 1989, ως Ανθυπολοχαγός Πεζικού.

Το επόμενο έτος επελέγη για τις Ειδικές Δυνάμεις και υπηρέτησε κατά τη διάρκεια της σταδιοδρομίας του σε Μονάδες, Σχηματισμούς και Επιτελεία τόσο των Ειδικών Δυνάμεων όσο και της ΑΣΔΕΝ, καθώς και σε θέσεις Εξωτερικού, όπως παρακάτω:

Ως Κατώτερος Αξκός σε Μονάδες Καταδρομών – Αλεξιπτωτιστών, στο ΕΤΑ και τη ΣΧΑΛ. Τη διετία 1998 – 2000 υπηρέτησε στο Διεθνές Σχολείο Περιπόλων Αναγνωρίσεως Μακράς Ακτίνος (ILRRPS) στο Pfullendorf της Γερμανίας,  ως επικεφαλής του τμήματος επιβίωσης.

Με τον επαναπατρισμό του μετατέθηκε στο Κέντρο Εκπαιδεύσεως Ανορθοδόξου Πολέμου (ΚΕΑΠ).

Το 2002 προήχθη στο βαθμό του Ταγματάρχου και μέχρι το θέρος του 2003, φοίτησε στην τελευταία (59η) εκπαιδευτική σειρά της Ανωτάτης Σχολής Πολέμου (ΑΣΠ).

Το 2003, τοποθετήθηκε στην 1η ΤΑΞ ΚΔ-ΑΛ, ως επιτελής 3ου ΕΓ  και το επόμενο έτος μετατέθηκε στο ΚΕΑΠ, ως Υποδιοικητής.

Την τριετία 2005 – 2008, τοποθετήθηκε στην Ισπανία στο  Στρατηγείο του ΝΑΤΟ CC-LAND HQ Madrid ως τμηματάρχης Αντιπληροφοριών και Ασφάλειας (CI and Security) και από τη θέση αυτή, συμμετείχε ως επικεφαλής του εν λόγω τμήματος κατά την προετοιμασία για αξιολόγηση και πιστοποίηση, του νεοσυσταθέντος τμήματος υποστήριξης ΔΜ (JLSG) της NRF 15 -16.

Το 2008, προήχθη στο βαθμό του Αντισυνταγματάρχου και μετατέθηκε στη Διεύθυνση Ειδικών Δυνάμεων του ΓΕΣ, αναλαμβάνοντας τα καθήκοντα του Δντού 1ου Γραφείου επί τριετία.

Τη διετία 2011 – 2013 του ανατέθηκαν τα καθήκοντα του Διοικητού του  2ου ΕΤΕΘ. Με την ολοκλήρωση της διοικήσεως, τοποθετήθηκε ως Επιτελάρχης στη 13η Διοίκηση Ειδικών Επιχειρήσεων (13 ΔΕΕ) «ΙΕΡΟΣ ΛΟΧΟΣ».

Το 2014 προήχθη στο βαθμό του Συνταγματάρχου και φοίτησε στη ΣΕΘΑ με την 67η ΕΣ Κανονικής Φοίτησης και κατόπιν επί διετία στο ΓΕΣ/ΔΕΔ, ως  Διευθυντής 3ου Γραφείου.

Το  2017, τοποθετήθηκε ως Επιτελάρχης στην 80 ΑΔΤΕ «ΚΩΣ».

Το 2018, τοποθετήθηκε ως Επιτελάρχης στη Διακλαδική Διοίκηση Ειδικών Επιχειρήσεων του ΓΕΕΘΑ.

Τον Μάρτιο του 2019, προήχθη στο βαθμό του Ταξιάρχου και τοποθετήθηκε  Διευθυντής στη Διεύθυνση Σχεδίων και Ασκήσεων του ΓΕΣ (ΓΕΣ / Α3).

Τον Μάρτιο του 2020, τοποθετήθηκε Διοικητής στην 80 ΑΔΤΕ «ΚΩΣ».

Τον Μάρτιο του 2021, τοποθετήθηκε ως Επιτελάρχης στη νεοσυσταθείσα Διοίκηση Ειδικού Πολέμου (ΔΕΠ) του ΓΕΕΘΑ.

Τον Μάρτιο του 2022, προήχθη στο βαθμό του Υποστρατήγου και τοποθετήθηκε Διοικητής στη Διακλαδική Διοίκηση Ειδικών Επιχειρήσεων (ΔΔΕΕ), «ΙΕΡΟΣ ΛΟΧΟΣ».

Τον Μάρτιο του 2023, τοποθετήθηκε Διοικητής στην 95 ΑΔΤΕ «ΔΙΑΓΟΡΙΔΩΝ».

Τον Μάρτιο του 2024, τοποθετήθηκε  Υποδιοικητής στη ΔΕΠ.

Τον Ιανουάριο του 2025 προήχθη στο βαθμό του Αντιστρατήγου και τοποθετήθηκε Διοικητής στη Διοίκηση Ειδικού Πολέμου του ΓΕΕΘΑ.
Είναι απόφοιτος όλων των βασικών σχολείων του Όπλου του Πεζικού, της Σχολής Πληροφοριών, καθώς και σημαντικού αριθμού σχολείων Ειδικών Δυνάμεων του εσωτερικού και του εξωτερικού.

Έχει εκπαιδευτεί στο σχολείο Αξιολόγησης Επιχειρησιακής Ετοιμότητας (CREVAL) του ΝΑΤΟ  και στο σχολείο Αντιπληροφοριών – Ασφαλείας του ΝΑΤΟ (CJ2X) στο Oberammergau της Γερμανίας.

Είναι απόφοιτος της 5ης Εκπαιδευτικής Σειράς «Έφεδρος Λοχαγός  Λορέντζος Μαβίλης» του μεταπτυχιακού προγράμματος σπουδών «δια βίου μάθησης» του Ινστιτούτου Διαρκούς Επιμόρφωσης, υπό την αιγίδα του ΓΕΕΘΑ.

Είναι κάτοχος μεταπτυχιακού τίτλου στην «Εφαρμοσμένη Στρατηγική και τη Διεθνή  Ασφάλεια», από το Πανεπιστήμιο του PLYMOUTH.

Παναγιώτης Καβιδόπουλος

Ο Αντιστράτηγος Παναγιώτης Καβιδόπουλος  γεννήθηκε το 1966 στο Βαθύ Σάμου. Εισήχθη το 1985 στη Στρατιωτική Σχολή Ευελπίδων από την οποία αποφοίτησε το 1989 με το βαθμό του Ανθυπολοχαγού Πεζικού.

Κατά τη διάρκεια της σταδιοδρομίας του, υπηρέτησε σε Μονάδες του Πεζικού ασκώντας διοίκηση όλων των επιπέδων συμπεριλαμβανομένων αυτών του Διοικητή.

Το 1991 τοποθετήθηκε στο 512 ΤΠ ως Διοικητής Υπομονάδος και Δντής 3ου Γραφείου.

Ο Αντιστράτηγος Παναγιώτης Καβιδόπουλος έχει παρακολουθήσει όλα τα σχολεία του Πεζικού. Το έτος 2003 αποφοίτησε από την Ανωτάτη Σχολή Πολέμου και το έτος 2015 από τη Σχολή Εθνικής Άμυνας.

Κατέχει τίτλο «Εξειδίκευσης στη Διοίκηση Ανθρωπίνων Πόρων» του Εθνικού Καποδιστριακού Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών.

Κατέχει όλα τα προβλεπόμενα από τον βαθμό του Μετάλλια και Διαμνημονεύσεις. Επίσης του έχει απονεμηθεί το Τάγμα της Λεγεώνας της Αξίας από τις Ηνωμένες Πολιτείες Αμερικής (Legion Of Merit- US).

Ομιλεί την Αγγλική γλώσσα. Είναι έγγαμος και έχει τέσσερα (4) τέκνα.

Επιτελάρχης Γενικού Επιτελείου Στρατού

Γρηγόριος Μπουντλιάκης

Ο Αντιστράτηγος Γρηγόριος Π. Μπουντλιάκης γεννήθηκε το 1966 στο Heinsberg της Γερμανίας. Εισήχθη στη Στρατιωτική Σχολή Ευελπίδων το 1985 και αποφοίτησε το 1989 ως Ανθυπολοχαγός Πεζικού.

Φοίτησε σε όλα τα προβλεπόμενα σχολεία του Όπλου του, στην Ανώτατη Σχολή Πολέμου καθώς και στην Σχολή Εθνικής Άμυνας, όπου αποφοίτησε με διάκριση.

Κατά τη διάρκεια της σταδιοδρομίας του υπηρέτησε σε Μονάδες και Σχηματισμούς Πεζικού και Τεθωρακισμένων. Ως κατώτερος Αξιωματικός, υπηρέτησε ως Διμοιρίτης και Διοικητής Λόχου σε Μηχανοκίνητα Τάγματα Πεζικού και σε Ειδικό Τάγμα Προκαλύψεως στην Ελλάδα και στην Κύπρο.

Ως ανώτερος Αξιωματικός υπηρέτησε ως Τμηματάρχης Εκπαίδευσης του 3ου ΕΓ της XXV ΤΘΤ, ως Διευθυντής Υποστήριξης στην IV Ταξιαρχία Υποστήριξης, ως Διευθυντής Εκπαίδευσης και Ασκήσεων (ΔΑΣΕΚΠ) του Δ΄ΣΣ «ΘΡΑΚΗ», ως Διευθυντής Κέντρου Επιχειρήσεων του EUFOR στο Σαράγεβο, Βοσνία-Ερζεγοβίνη, ως Διοικητής του 31 ΛΑ-Τ, ως Διευθυντής 3ου ΕΓ της 31 Μ/Κ ΤΑΞ «ΚΑΜΙΑ», ως Διοικητής του 645 Μ/Κ TΠ, με το οποίο για έξι μήνες αναπτύχθηκε σε ειρηνευτική αποστολή στη Μιτρόβιτσα του Κοσσυφοπεδίου, ως Διευθυντής Υποστήριξης (ΔΥΔΜ) του Δ΄ΣΣ «ΘΡΑΚΗ», ως Στρατιωτικός Ακόλουθος της Ελλάδας στην Ελληνική Πρεσβεία στην Άγκυρα, ως Διευθυντής Πληροφοριών στο Δ΄ ΣΣ «ΘΡΑΚΗ», ως Διοικητής της Τακτικής Διοίκησης του 21 Μ/Κ ΣΠ, καθώς και ως Υποδιευθυντής της Διεύθυνσης Αμυντικού Σχεδιασμού και Προγραμματισμού (ΔΑΣΠ) του ΓΕΣ.

Το 2019, προήχθη σε Ταξίαρχο και του ανατέθηκαν τα καθήκοντα του Διοικητή της 3ης Μ/Κ ΤΑΞ «ΡΙΜΙΝΙ», ενώ στο βαθμό αυτό τοποθετήθηκε ως Διευθυντής της Διεύθυνσης Πληροφοριών και Ασφάλειας (ΔΙΠΑ) του ΓΕΣ και της Διεύθυνσης Ανάλυσης και Εκμετάλλευσης Πληροφοριών του ΓΕΕΘΑ.

Το 2022 προήχθη σε Υποστράτηγο και του ανατέθηκαν τα καθήκοντα του Διοικητή της 98 ΑΔΤΕ «ΑΡΧΙΠΕΛΑΓΟΥΣ», για δύο χρόνια. Τον Μάρτιο 2024, τοποθετήθηκε ως Διευθυντής του Κλάδου Στρατιωτικών Πληροφοριών ΓΕΕΘΑ (Ε΄ Κλάδος).

Την 10 Ιαν 25, προήχθη στο βαθμό του Αντιστρατήγου και με απόφαση του ΚΥΣΕΑ, του ανατέθηκαν τα καθήκοντα του Επιτελάρχη ΓΕΣ.

Στον Αντιστράτηγο Γρηγόριο Π. Μπουντλιάκη, έχει απονεμηθεί το σύνολο των προβλεπόμενων Παρασήμων, Μεταλλίων και Διαμνημονεύσεων.

Κατέχει μεταπτυχιακό τίτλο σπουδών στην Εφαρμοσμένη Στρατηγική και τη Διεθνή Ασφάλεια του Πανεπιστημίου Plymouth. Κατέχει Προπτυχιακό Δίπλωμα του Τμήματος Μηχανικών Παραγωγής και Διοίκησης της Πολυτεχνικής Σχολής του Δημοκρίτειου Πανεπιστημίου Θράκης και έχει αποφοιτήσει από την 7η Εκπαιδευτική Σειρά Μεταπτυχιακού Σεμιναρίου «διά βίου μάθησης» στο Ινστιτούτο Διαρκούς Επιμόρφωσης, υπό την αιγίδα του ΓΕΕΘΑ.

Αντώνιος Θεοδοσιάδης

Ο Υποστράτηγος Αντώνιος Θεοδοσιάδης, γεννήθηκε το 1968 στην Αλεξανδρούπολη. Το 1986, εισήλθε στη Στρατιωτική Σχολή Ευελπίδων από την οποία αποφοίτησε το 1990, με το βαθμό του Ανθυπολοχαγού των Τεθωρακισμένων.

Φοίτησε σε όλα τα προβλεπόμενα σχολεία του Όπλου του, στο Σχολείο Αξιωματικών Συντηρήσεως Μονάδας στη Σχολή ΤΘ των ΗΠΑ στο Fort Knox, στο Σχολείο Στελεχών Στρατονομίας στο Κέντρο Εκπαίδευσης Στρατονομίας, καθώς και στο Σχολείο Αρχικής Εκπαίδευσης Επιτελών ΝΑΤΟ στο NATO School Oberammergau, στην Ανώτατη Διακλαδική Σχολή Πολέμου (ΑΔΙΣΠΟ) και στη Σχολή Εθνικής Άμυνας (ΣΕΘΑ). Είναι απόφοιτος του Προγράμματος Διεθνούς Ασφάλειας και Αντιτρομοκρατίας (PTSS) του Ευρωπαϊκού Κέντρου Σπουδών Ασφαλείας “George C. Marshall” στη Γερμανία, καθώς επίσης και του Ινστιτούτου Διαρκούς Επιμόρφωσης (ΙΔΕ) υπό την αιγίδα του ΓΕΕΘΑ.

Έχει υπηρετήσει ως Επιτελής ΔΜ στο Συγκρότημα Υποστήριξης του Διακλαδικού Στρατηγείου του ΝΑΤΟ HQ Joint Command South (Ιταλία), Επιτελής 3ου ΕΓ στην 88 ΣΔΙ, Διευθυντής 4ου ΕΓ στην XXV ΤΘΤ, Υποδιοικητής – Συντονιστής Επιτελείου του HQ Multinational CIMIC Group (Ιταλία), Επιτελάρχης στην ΧΧΙ ΤΘΤ, Επιτελής στη Δνση Συντονισμού Επιτελείου στο ΓΕΣ (ΓΕΣ/ΔΣΕ) καθώς και Διευθυντής Δνσης Στρατονομίας του ΓΕΣ (ΓΕΣ/ΔΣΝ).

Προήχθη στο βαθμό του Ταξιάρχου το έτος 2020 αναλαμβάνοντας Διευθυντής της Διεύθυνσης Ιστορίας Στρατού (ΓΕΣ/Δ4). Τον Μάρτιο 2021 τοποθετήθηκε ως Διοικητής της XXI ΤΘΤ και τον Μάρτιο 2022 ως Διευθυντής της Διεύθυνσης Μεταθέσεων Μονίμου Προσωπικού (ΓΕΣ/Β2).

Το έτος 2023, προήχθη σε Υποστράτηγο και τοποθετήθηκε ως Διοικητής της Μεραρχίας Υποστήριξης (ΜΕΡΥΠ). Το Μάρτιο του 2024 τοποθετήθηκε Διευθυντής του Κλάδου Προσωπικού ΓΕΣ (ΓΕΣ/ΔΒ΄Κ) και τον Ιανουάριο 2025 ως Υποδιοικητής στην Ανώτατη Στρατιωτική Διοίκηση Υποστήριξης Στρατού (ΑΣΔΥΣ) «ΘΗΣΕΑΣ». Την 15 Σεπτεμβρίου 2025, με απόφαση του ΚΥΣΕΑ, ανέλαβε τα καθήκοντα του Διοικητή της ΑΣΔΥΣ «ΘΗΣΕΑΣ».

Στον Υποστράτηγο Αντώνιο Θεοδοσιάδη έχει απονεμηθεί το σύνολο των προβλεπόμενων Παρασήμων, Μεταλλίων και Διαμνημονεύσεων.

Andreas Koronakis

Lieutenant General Andreas Koronakis was born in Athens in 1964. He was admitted to the Hellenic Army Academy (Evelpidon) in 1983 and graduated in 1987, as Second Lieutenant of the Engineer Corps.

As a Junior Officer, he served in Units of the Engineer Corps as Platoon Leader and Company Commander.

He has graduated from all the required schools of the Engineer Corps. He has graduated from the Engineer Officers Technical Training School.

In 2007, he graduated from the Hellenic Supreme Joint War College.

During his career as a Junior Officer, he served as Engineers Commander of the II Mechanised Infantry Division and of B’ Army Corps, as Director of the 736th Military Works Directorate and as Commander of the Engineer Corps Training Centre.

Upon being promoted to Colonel in 2012, he attended the Hellenic National Defence College, and subsequently assumed the duties of Engineers Commander of the Supreme Military Command of Interior and Islands.

In 2017, he was promoted to Brigadier General and assumed the duties of Director General of the Autonomous Officers’ Building Organisation.

In 2020, he was promoted to Major General and in 2021 he was appointed C’ Staff Director of Hellenic Army General Staff.

On 17 January 2023, upon decision of the Governmental National Security Council, he was promoted to Lieutenant General and assumed the duties of Deputy Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff.

On 11 January 2025 upon decision of the Governmental National Security Council he assumed the duties of Army Inspector General – Deputy Chief of HAGS.

Lieutenant General Andreas Koronakis has been awarded all decorations, commendations and medals, as such are provided for by his rank.

Stavros Papastathopoulos

Lieutenant General Stavros Papastathopoulos was born in Nicosia, Cyprus, in 1966. He was admitted to the Hellenic Army Academy (Evelpidon) in 1984 and graduated in 1988, as Artillery Second Lieutenant.
Up until the rank of Major (1988-2006) he served in various Artillery Units, as well as Platoon Leader in the Hellenic Army Academy and as Trainer in the Artillery School. He also served in various staff appointments and as Aide-de-camp of the Chief of Hellenic National Defence General Staff. Upon being promoted to Lieutenant Colonel (2007) he assumed duties as Commander of the 163rd Artillery Battalion (PzH 2000 GR). In 2009, he was transferred to the Hellenic Military Delegation in the Military Committee of NATO in Brussels. Upon completion of his duties in that position (2012), he was appointed Director of the Staff Office of the Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff, where he was promoted to the rank of Colonel. Following (2014), he was appointed as Artillery Commander of the XII Mechanised Infantry Division “EVROS”. Afterwards, he initially assumed the duties of Chief of Section for National and International Operations in the Planning and Exercise Directorate of the Hellenic Army General Staff (2016), and, afterwards, of Chief of Section for International Planning – International Operations. In 2017, he was promoted to Brigadier General and assumed duties Director of the Defence Planning and Organisation Directorate of the Hellenic Army General Staff. In 2019, he was appointed Commanding General of the 96th Higher National Guard Battalion Command “CHIOS”, while in 2020, he was promoted to Major General and appointed Director of D’ Staff Directorate (Defence Planning – Organisation) of the Hellenic Army General Staff. In 2021, he was appointed Commanding General of the XII Mechanised Infantry Division “EVROS” and in 2022, he assumed the duties of Commandant of the Hellenic Army Academy. On 17 January 2023 he was promoted to Lieutenant General and assumed the duties of Chief of Staff of the Hellenic Army General Staff. On 15 January 2024, he was appointed Commanding General of D’ Army Corps “THRAKI”. On 11 January 2025, he was appointed Commanding General of the Hellenic 1st Army.

During his career, he has graduated from all required schools of the Artillery, as well as the Hellenic Army Staff College, the Hellenic Supreme Joint War College, the Joint Defence Staff Officers’ College, and the Hellenic National Defence College. He has also graduated from the Basic Department of the Chemical Warfare School of the US Army, and from the US Command and General Staff College (Distance Learning).
Additionally, Lieutenant General Stavros Papastathopoulos holds a postgraduate degree from the Νaval Postgraduate School, Monterey, California – USA [Master of Arts in Security Studies (Defense Decision – Making and Planning)] (2003-2004), and from Plymouth University – United Kingdom (Master of Arts in Applied Strategy and International Security), which he obtained through his studies in the Hellenic National Defence College (2013-2014). He is also a PhD Candidate in the International, European, and Area Studies Department of Panteion Social and Political Sciences University.

He possesses language proficiency certificates in English (excellent knowledge) and French (good knowledge) languages.

Dimitrios Vakendis

Lieutenant General Dimitrios Vakedis was born in Mytilini village, Samos, in 1966. He was admitted to the Hellenic Military Academy (Evelpidon) in 1984 and graduated in 1988 as Infantry Second Lieutenant.

Up until the rank of Major (1988 – 2006) he served in various Infantry Units, among which were the 2nd Mechanised Infantry Battalion of the Hellenic Forces in Cyprus, as well as Platoon Commander in the Hellenic Army NCO Academy, and Trainer in the Basic Training Section of the Infantry Academy. He has served as Staff Officer in Evros, the Aegean Islands, and in 2006 he was assigned as MA to SMR at HNTi. Upon his promotion to Lieutenant Colonel (2007), he was assigned as Commander of the 298th Mechanised Battalion of the 79th Higher National Guard Battalions Command. In 2013, he was promoted to Colonel. Then, he was transferred to the Training Directorate of the Hellenic Army General Staff, and following that, he was assigned as Chief of Staff of the 79th Higher National Guard Battalions Command (2015-2017). In 2018, he was promoted to Brigadier General and assigned as Deputy Commanding General of the 98th Higher National Guard Battalions Command “ARCHIPELAGOS”. In 2019, he was assigned as Commander of the 79th Higher National Guard Battalions Command “MYKALI” and, in 2020, as Chief of Staff of the Supreme Military Command of Interior and Islands. In 2021, he was promoted to Major General and assigned as Chief of Staff of the Hellenic 1st Army – OHQ “ACHILLEAS”. In 2022, he was assigned as Commanding General of the 95th Higher National Guard Battalions Command “DIAGORIDON”, and in 2023 as Chief of Staff of the Supreme Army Support Command. On 13 January 2024, he was promoted to Lieutenant General and assumed the duties of Chief of Staff of the Hellenic Army General Staff. On 11 January 2025, upon decision of the Governmental National Security Council, he was assigned as Commanding General of the Supreme Army Support Command. On 9 September 2025, upon decision of the Governmental National Security Council, he was assigned as Commanding General, Supreme Military Command of the Aegean Sea and Eastern Mediterranean.

During his career, he has graduated from all required Infantry training schools, as well as the Hellenic Army Staff Officers College, the Supreme Joint War College, and the National Defence College.

He holds a language proficiency certificate in English (good knowledge).

He is married to Despina Kavvada and has two children, aged 31 and 28 years old.

Athanasios Sardellis

Lieutenant General Athanasios Sardellis was born in Athens in 1966. He was admitted to the Hellenic Army Academy (Evelpidon) in 1984 and graduated in 1988 as Artillery Second Lieutenant.

During his career he served in various Field and Air Defence Artillery Units, assuming command positions of all levels, including those of “HAWK” Homing Missiles Battery Commander, “OSA-AK” Homing Missile Battalion Deputy Commander, and “PzH2000GR” Howitzer Battalion Deputy Commander. In 2006 he was assigned as Commander of the 182nd TOR-M1 Artillery Battalion.

He has also served in the following positions:

In 2015 he was appointed member of the Honourable Order of Saint Barbara by the United States Field Artillery Association. Michail Klouvas

Lieutenant General Michail Klouvas was born in 1966 in Piraeus. He graduated from the 1st Piraeus High School and was admitted to the Evelpidon Officers Academy, from which he graduated in 1984 as an Engineer 2nd Lieutenant.

He has attended all Engineer Schools and Courses, at the Engineer Officers Training Academy, at the Supreme Joint Army War College, and the Hellenic National Defence College. During his career and to date he has served at Engineering Units and Services, at the Cypriot National Guard General Staff as well as NATO Allied Commands (Constantinople – Afghanistan). He has served for 2 years as Captain Deputy Commander of the 96th National Guard Engineer Battalion (Armolia, Chios) for 2 years as Major Commander of the 7th Engineer Company (Provatonas, Evros), for 3 years as Lieutenant Colonel Commander of 747 Special Engineer Batalion (Loutraki) and for 3 years as a Colonel, as Engineer Commander of the Hellenic Army Supreme Military Support Command in Athens.

As a General Officer, he has served as Brigadier General since 2018, Major General from 2021 to 2024 and to this day serves as Director of Studies and Construction Directorate (ΜΟΜΚΑ) of the Hellenic Army National Defence General Staff.

During the discharge of his duties as Engineer Commander of Hellenic Army Supreme Military Support Command, in the three year period 2014-2017, he assumed a significant role in the solution of the migrant crisis, by studying and overseeing the construction of the totality of the number of migrant housing structures, in the refugee camps of Schistos, Skaramangas, Malakasa, Eleonas B-C, Ayios Andreas, Eleusis, Ritsona, Thiva, as well as the construction of Centres of Welcoming and Identification with little houses on the Islands of Leros, Kos and Chios.

As Director of Studies and Construction Directorate, from 2018 to 2024 he has contributed to the design and materialisation of critical infrastructure, at the study level (transferring of the prisons of Korydallos-Ioannina-Chalkida, drawing plans for the layout of the General Layout Plan for the Naval Station of Crete and the Naval Base of Almyros), as much as on the construction level (digging of roads, construction of airports, marine constructions and maintenance of the road network) in frontier regions for the most part, isles and islets. The totality of his works throughout Greek territory during the time he commanded Studies and Construction Directorate is more than fifty.

Also, in the framework of his duties at Studies and Construction Directorate, he has contributed to facing the greatest natural disasters that befell Greece in the last years (Floods in Western Greece, in the Ionian Islands, in Mandra, Attica, the Wildfires in Mati, the storms IANOS-DANIEL-ELIAS etc.) with the repair of roadworks (laying bridges) and designing and constructing flood control structures.

He has been awarded all decorations, medals, and commendations provided for.

He is a holder of a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (structural engineering) and a Master’s Degree in “Structural Design & Structure Analysis” at the Faculty of the National Technical University of Athens (Metsovio). He has completed studies at doctoral level in “Constitutive Modelling of cement in fortification works of great width”. Since 2011 he is professor at the School for Technical Formation of Engineer Officers (ΣΤΕΑΜΧ) for the class of “Fortification”.

He speaks English and he is a certified advanced open water diver, and a single harness parachutist. In his free time he does open sea sailing at a competitive level.

Athanasios Garinis

Lieutenant General Athanasios Garinis was born in Katerini. He was admitted to the Hellenic Military Academy (Evelpidon) in 1984 and graduated in 1988 as Armour Second Lieutenant.

He has graduated from all mandatory armour schools and courses, the Hellenic Supreme War College, and the Hellenic National Defence College. He has been awarded all decorations, commendations and medals, as such are provided for by his rank. He holds a postgraduate degree in Applied Strategy and International Security from the University of Plymouth.

During his career, he served in Armour Units and as Commander of the 21st Medium Tank Battalion (Alexandroupolis) and the 957th Military Police Battalion (Thessaloniki).

He has served as Staff Officer in HQ NRDC-IT in Milan, Director of the 3rd Staff Office of the XXV Armour Brigade, Director of the 4th Staff Office of the XXIII Armour Brigade, Deputy Director of the G5 Section of the Hellenic C’ Army Corps/NRDC-GR, Deputy Commander of the 31st Mechanised Brigade, and Deputy Director in the Plans and Exercises Directorate of the Hellenic Army General Staff.

In 2019, he was promoted to General Officer (Brigadier General) and assumed duties as Commanding General of the XXIII Armour Brigade. In 2020, he was assigned as Director of the Defence Planning and Programming Directorate of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff.

In 2022, he was promoted to Major General and assumed duties as Commanding General of the XX Armour Division. In March 2023, he was appointed Director of the Hellenic Army General Staff Armour Directorate.

On 13 January 2024, he was promoted to Lieutenant General and assumed duties as Commanding General of the Supreme Military Command of Epirus and Macedonia/ NRDC – GR.

Georgios Manouras

Lieutenant General Georgios Manouras was born in Athens, in May 1967. He is from Anogia, Rethymnon. He was admitted to the Hellenic Military Academy (Evelpidon) in 1985 and graduated in 1989 as an Infantry Second Lieutenant.

The following year, he was selected for the Special Forces and, in the course of his career, he has served in various Special Forces Units, Formations, and Staffs, as well as of the Supreme Military Command of the Interior and Islands, as well as in positions abroad, as follows:

As a junior Officer, in Raider – Parachutist Units, in the Special Parachutist Team, and the Parachutist School. From 1998 to 2000, he served in the International Long Range Reconnaissance Patrol School (ILRRPS) in Pfullendorf, Germany, as head of the survival course.

Upon his repatriation, he was transferred to the Unconventional Warfare Training Centre.

In 2002 he was promoted to Major, and, in the summer of 2003, he graduated from the last (59th) Training Class at the Supreme Army War College.

In 2003, he was posted to the 1st Raider – Parachutist Brigade, as staff officer of the 3rd SO, and the following year he was transferred to the Unconventional Warfare Training Centre, as Deputy Commander.

From 2005 to 2008, he was assigned to Spain, at ΝΑΤΟ CC-LAND HQ Madrid, as Section Chief Counterintelligence and Security, and from this position, he participated as head of said section during the preparation for the evaluation and certification of the newly created Joint Logistics Support Group (JLSG) of NRF 15 – 16.

In 2008, he was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel and transferred to the Hellenic Army General Staff Special Forces Directorate, where he served as 1st Office Director for three years.

From 2011 to 2013, he was assigned command duties as Commander of the 2nd Special National Guard Battalion. Subsequently, he was assigned as Chief of Staff of the 13th Special Operations Command “SACRED BAND”.

In 2014, he was promoted to Colonel and attended the Hellenic National Defence College with the 67th Training Class and for the next two years he served as 3rd Office Director at the Special Forces Directorate of HAGS.

In 2017, he was assigned to the 80th Higher National Guard Battalions Command “KOS” as Chief of Staff.

In 2018, he was assigned to the Joint Special Operations Command of HNDGS as Chief of Staff.

In March 2019, he was promoted to Brigadier General and assigned as Director of the Plans and Exercises Directorate of HAGS (HAGS/A3).

In March 2020, he was assigned to the 80th Higher National Guard Battalions Command “KOS” as Commanding General.

In March 2021, he was assigned to the newly formed HNDGS Special Warfare Command as Chief of Staff.

In March 2022, he was promoted to Major General and assigned as Commanding General of the Joint Special Operations Command “SACRED BAND”.

In March 2024, he was assigned as Deputy Commanding General of the Special Warfare Command.

He has attended the NATO Combat Readiness Evaluation Course and the NATO Counterintelligence – Security School at Oberammergau, Germany.

He has graduated from the 5th Training Class “Reserve Captain Lorentzos Mavilis” of the “lifelong learning” postgraduate studies programme of the Institute of Continuous Education, under the auspices of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff.

Lieutenant General Panagiotis Kavidopoulos was born in 1966, in Vathy, Samos. He was admitted to the Hellenic Military Academy (Evelpidon) in 1985 and graduated in 1989 as an Infantry Second Lieutenant.

During the course of his career, he has served in Infantry Units, at command posts of all levels, including that of Commander.
He has also served in the following positions:

In 1991, he was appointed to the 512th Infantry Battalion as Subunit Commander and 3rd Office Director.

In 1994, he was appointed to the 212th National Guard Battalion as Subunit Commander and 2nd – 3rd Office Director.

In 2003, he was appointed D Army Corps “THRAKI” HQ Staff Officer.

In 2005, he was appointed Deputy Commander of the 645th Mechanised Infantry Battalion.

In 2008, he was appointed Section Chief of the Evaluation Directorate of the Army Inspectorate General.

In 2009, he was appointed Special Staff Officer to NRF-14 (DENMARK).

In 2010, he was appointed Commander of the 649th National Guard Battalion.

In 2020, he was appointed Director of the Executive Office of the Chief of HAGS.

In 2022, he was promoted to Major General and assigned Commander of the XII Mechanised Infantry Division “EVROS”.

In 2023, he was appointed Director of HAGS/Infantry Directorate.

In 2024, he was appointed HNDGS/D Branch Director.

In 2025, he was promoted to Lieutenant General and appointed Commander of the Supreme Military Command of Thrace.

Lieutenant General Panagiotis Kavidopoulos has attended all Infantry Courses. In 2003, he graduated from the Supreme Army War College and in 2015 from the Hellenic National Defence College.

He holds a degree in “The Graduate Programme in Human Resources Management” from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.

He has been awarded all the Medals and Commendations provided for his rank. He has also been awarded the US Legion of Merit.

Grigorios Bountliakis

Lieutenant General Grigorios P. Bountliakis was born in 1966, in Heinsberg, Germany. He was admitted to the Hellenic Military Academy (Evelpidon) in 1985 and graduated in 1989 as an Infantry Second Lieutenant.

He has attended all required Infantry courses, the Supreme Army War College and the Hellenic National Defence College, from where he graduated with distinction.

In the course of his career, he has served in Infantry and Armour Units and Formations. As a junior Officer he has served as platoon leader and company commander in Mechanised Infantry Battalions and a Special Covering Battalion in Greece and Cyprus.

As a senior officer, he has served as Training Section Chief in the 3rd SO of the XXV Armoured Brigade, as Director of Support in the IV Support Brigade, as Director of Training and Exercises of D Army Corps “THRAKI”, as Operations Centre Director of EUFOR in Sarajevo, Bosnia – Herzegovina, as Company Commander of the 31st Anti-Tank Company, as Director of the 3rd SO of the 31st Mechanised Brigade “KAMIA”, as Commander of the 645th Mechanised Battalion,with which he deployed in Mitrovica, Kosovo, for six months, on a peacekeeping mission, as Logistics Director of D Army Corps “THRAKI”, as Military Attaché at the Greek Embassy in Ankara, as Intelligence Director at D Army Corps “THRAKI”, as Commander of the 21st Mechanised Infantry Regiment Tactical Command, as well as Deputy Director of the Defence Planning and Programming Directorate of HAGS.

In 2019 he was promoted to Brigadier General and assigned the duties of Commanding General of the 3rd Mechanised Brigade “RIMINI”, and subsequently as Director of the HAGS Intelligence and Security Directorate and the HNDGS Intelligence Analysis and Exploitation Directorate.

In 2022, he was promoted to Major General and assigned the duties of Commanding General of the 98th Higher National Guard Battalions Command “ARCHIPELAGO” for two years. In March 2024, he was appointed as HNDGGS Director of Military Intelligence (E Branch).

On 10 Jan 2025, he was promoted to Lieutenant General and, upon decision of the Governmental National Security Council, he was assigned as HAGS Chief of Staff.

Lieutenant General Grigorios P. Bountliakis has been awarded all decorations, medals, and commendations provided for his rank.

He holds a postgraduate degree in “Applied Strategy and International Security” from Plymouth University. He holds an undergraduate degree from the Department of Production and Management Engineering of Democritus University of Thrace and has graduated from the 7th Training Class of the “lifelong learning” Postgraduate Seminar of the Institute of Continuous Education, under the auspices of the HNDGS.

He speaks English and German.

Antonios Theodosiadis

Major General Antonios Theodosiadis was born in Alexandroupolis, in 1968. In 1986, he entered the Hellenic Military Academy, whence, in 1990 he was commissioned as an Armour Second Lieutenant.

He has attended all required courses of his Arm, the Maneuver Leaders Maintenance Course at the United States Army Armor School at Fort Knox, the Military Police Officers Course at the Military Police Training School, as well as the Initial Staff Officers Training Course at NATO School Oberammergau, the Supreme Joint War College, and the Hellenic National Defence College. He is a graduate of the Program on Terrorism and Security Studies of the “George C. Marshall” European Centre for Security Studies in Germany, as well as the Continual Education Institute under the auspices of HNDGS.

During his career, he has served in Armour Units, and has served as Commander of the 957th Military Police Battalion, the 25th Armoured Battalion, and the Armour Training School.

He has served as Logistics Staff Officer in the Support Group of the Joint Headquarters of NATO HQ Joint Command South (Italy), 3rd SO Staff Officer of the 88th Military Command, 4th SO Director of the XXV Armour Brigade, Deputy Commander – Staff Coordinator of the HQ Multinational CIMIC Group (Italy), Chief of Staff of the XXI Armour Brigade, Staff Officer of HAGS/Staff Coordination Directorate, as well as Director of HAGS/Military police Directorate.

He was promoted to Brigadier General in 2020 assuming Directorship of the Army History Directorate (HAGS/D4). In March 2021 he was appointed Commanding General of the XXI Armour Brigade, and in March 2022 he was appointed Director of the Career Personnel Transfer Directorate (HAGS/B2).

In 2023 he was promoted to Major General and appointed Commanding General of the Service Support Division. In March 2024 he was appointed Director of HAGS B Branch (Personnel), and in January 2025 he was appointed Deputy Commanding General of the Supreme Military Support Command (ASDYS) “THESEUS”.
On 15 September 2025, by decision of the National Security Governmental Council he assumed the duty of Commanding General of the Supreme Military Support Command “THESEUS”.

He has a Post-graduate Degree in “Geopolitical Analysis, Geo-strategic synthesis, Defence and International Security Studies” of the School of Economic and Political Sciences of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
