CHAIN OF COMMAND IN FORCES STRUCTURE

Army

It is the largest operational formation of the Land Forces. It consists of the sum of the Army Corps as well as the Groups or Units of the various Arms and Corps with integrated Lieutenant General command. It can also include independent Divisions or Brigades.

Army Corps

Tactical Formation which includes various Divisions, Brigades, Logistics Support Brigade and combat support Units.

Division

Tactical Formation which includes various Brigades, Logistics Support Unit and combat support Units. The Division can include the sum of Groups and Units of various Arms and Corps with integrated command, usually at the rank of Major General.

Brigade

It is the sum of Units from various Arms and Corps, it plans and conducts operations at the tactical level and is usually commanded by a Brigadier General.

Regiment

It is the sum of Units from various Arms and Corps, it plans and conducts operations at the tactical level and is usually commanded by a Colonel.

Unit

It is the set of Sub-Units and is the main part of conducting operations on the battlefield.
