On Thursday, the Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis, visited the headquarters of the Hellenic First Army/EU OHQ "ACHILLEAS”, where he was welcomed by its Commanding General, Lieutenant General Dimokritos Konstantakos.

During the visit, the Chief was briefed on the Hellenic First Army/EU OHQ's mission and operational and training activities. He then gave a short address and provided guidelines to the personnel. Later, he visited the European Union Operational Headquarters, where he was given a short briefing and tour of the headquarters.

On Wednesday, 07 February 2024, a ceremony was held at Camp “KARAISKAKI B” in Haidari for the inauguration of the new Headquarters of the Base Support Command.

The ceremony was attended by the Chief of Hellenic National Defence General Staff, General Dimitrios Choupis, the Very Reverend Archimandrite Nikolaos Krassas as representative of the Metropolitan of Nikea, the Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis, the Honorary Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff, General Charalampos Lalousis (ret.), the Commanding General of the Hellenic Army Support Command "AEGEAS”, Lieutenant General Dimitrios Bolomytis, the Chief of Staff of the Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Dimitrios Vakentis, active duty and retired Officers, and other guests.
