On Monday, 27 June 2022, the oath-taking ceremony of Second Lieutenants, Class of 2022 “Lieutenant General Konstantinos Mazarakis – Ainian”, was held at the Hellenic Military Academy (Evelpidon) in Vari, Attica, in the presence of Her Excellency, the President of the Republic, Ms. Katerina Sakelaropoulou, who awarded the Officer's swords to the new Officers.

The ceremony was attended by the Deputy Speaker of the Hellenic Parliament, Mr. Athanasios Bouras, as representative of the Speaker of the Hellenic Parliament, the Metropolitan of Glyfada, Elliniko, Voula, Vouliagmeni & Vari, Mr. Antonios as representative of the Archbishop of Athens and All Greece, the Minister of National Defence, Mr. Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos, the Deputy Minister of National Defence, Mr. Nikolaos Chardalias, Members of Parliament, the Chief of Hellenic National Defence General Staff, General Konstantinos Floros, the Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Charalampos Lalousis, the Chief of Hellenic Navy General Staff, Vice Admiral Stylianos Petrakis HN, the Chief of Hellenic Air Force General Staff, Lieutenant General (HAF) Themistoklis Bourolias, the Chief of the Hellenic Police Force, Lieutenant General Konstantinos Skoumas, Chief of the Hellenic Coast Guard, Vice Admiral Georgios Alexandrakis CG, and the Chief of the Fire Service, Fire Lieutenant General Alexios Rapanos, as well as representatives of the local government and the church, members of the Supreme Military Council, Honorary Chiefs of Hellenic Army General Staff, descendants of the hero of the Class of 2022, Lieutenant General Konstantinos Mazarakis – Ainian, and family members of the new Second Lieutenants.

Graduates included 180 Second Lieutenants, of which 166 from Greece, 11 from Cyprus, 1 from Albania, 1 from Bosnia-Herzegovina, and 1 from Moldova.
